If you google this problem with this lens others have had the exact same issue. This is something Tokina should be aware of. I would call Tokina and ask them what to do. If you need to send the camera in you can see what an estimate would cost. It might be worth it. Worst case, I have a Sigma 15-30mm f3.5 D lens I got used on ebay for about $250 and it's one of my best lenses. It has auto aperture and you can also set the aperture with the aperture ring. It's sharper than my Tokina 11-16mm, but not as wide. I buy all my camera equipment on ebay.

Best thing - only buy lenses manufactured by your camera maker.

I love my Tokina 100mm macro. Maybe I've just been lucky.

It wasn't luck. That particular Tokina is one fine lens. The images out of my Tokina 100 macro were clearly sharper than those out of my AFS micro Nikkor 105 VR at half the price. I just had to get rid of that Nikkor after that.

Wish I had your cash to throw around
I think if 3rd party lens makers didn't know what they were doing they wouldn't be in business so long

I recently purchased a re-furbished HP computer with Amazon and it is (was not described as) an old desktop which runs well but does not have wireless. I had it for several weeks before hooking it up and do not want to hassle going through a return. It will be an auxilliary desktop suitable for much with a cable connection but not what I expected. Beware of Amazon is my new motto.

Unless it mentioned that it had wireless, there's no "beware of Amazon" on this case.
You can add a WiFi dongle to your new desktop for $10 to $40 depending on your needs. Hope this helps
As stated, a WiFi dongle is an easy plug-n-play solution. Just be careful about USB speeds (USB2 vs USB3), depending on what USB ports the desktop has available.

Another more elaborate solution, depending on your needs and repair skills, would be an expansion card. That just requires opening up the desktop and seeing if there are any available expansion slots on the motherboard. Just so you can see one possible:

Expansion cards are quite easy to install, not just quite plug-n-play.

Up to you to determine needs and speeds required.

I have an OLD refurbished HP Entertainment desktop that served as my HTPC for over a decade. Eventually the on-board wifi became flaky, so a USB2 wifi dongle was sufficient for connection to internet to download TV schedules and software updates. Dongle sufficient as no open expansion slots on mobo.

If a Nikon mount I'd gladly give you $100 for it. Send me a PM and we can arrange the purchase..
