I finally upgraded to a Nikon D7500 and I would like to know opinions about these three lenses. Nikon 70x300 any of the 3 styles, Nikon 18 x300, Tamron 18x400. I have a Nikon 18 x200 vr and I'm very satisfied with it. I'd like some extra reach and still get some good sharpness. Thanks in advance.

Stick with Nikon quality and get the 70 x300
Which one? Thanks for reply
I have the Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED AF-P VR NIKKOR Lens and would recommend it. I think it is better than the 70-300 f/4.5 -6.3
I also have the Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED AF-P VR NIKKOR Lens and like it a lot. However, everyone has different "standards". My first lens for my DSLR was the 18-200mm (and still have it) but found it "soft" and after a few years moved to other lenses. Also tried the 28-300mm but found it too heavy for my tastes. The 18-200mm you have is probably newer than mine, but if you are happy with it, it is possible that the DX version of the 70-300mm would be fine. I never compared it with the more expensive version and if you only plan on using it on a DX camera, it would probably be almost the same as the more expensive version.
My wife uses the 70 to 300 ED vr af-p dx version. Quite light and remarkably sharp (opinion from a picky zeiss guy).

For the Nikon 70-300 options, the AF-P is the best choice for your D7500. But, if you want a more general, always-on-your-camera lens, I'd look at the Tamron 18-400.

Wife has thousands of shots with the 18-400 on her D7500. Decent quality and very good all around. We have a lot of glass and that never leaves her camera on trips...including about eight weeks in Yellowstone.

I have the same Nikon lens and love it.
I also have a Tamron 100-400. Have only had it less than a week and the sun hasn’t been cooperating, so only used it a few times. Still not sure about the image quality at the long end. Close up is great. But so is my Nikon.
My go to lens is still my Nikkor 70-300 f4.5-5.6. It's light, quick and almost as sharp as my Nikkor 200-500
