Yes, I did, thanks Nitz! She is looking to move from her warden assisted place as the warden is pretty useless and a little bit crafty - not in a good way!! She has found another place that she likes on the other side of her town, just needs to unload hers now!! xxxx

Wow. You really did go to prison. Wardens are high-ranking officials who oversee prisons. A common language separate by a pond.

This is my funny story about the books I read and my favorite authors. I had a stack of books in the car to be dropped off at the thrift store. I stopped at a rummage sale on the way to the store. They had a bunch of books for sale and I ask if they would like to add mine to the pile. I left the books there. Later that day my next door neighbor came over with books she had purchased at a rummage sale. She chose the books because she knew they were by my favorite author. Yup, she purchased the books I had given the ladies at the rummage sale.

I have to do a load today. Bella-kitty did not have a good night and now I have cover sheets that all need to be washed.
I thought that I had picked up all the kibbles with the tuna, but I must have missed some. And she found them in the dark.

I put 5 treat morsels on a paper plate next to my cookies and took them into the parlor. After mooch ate the treats he was still thinking I had more in my plate. Hard to convince him I did not.

One of my childhood friends drives a school bus in the area to the west of Toronto, and he loves it. He has a rubbery face and keeps the kids entertained making faces at them in the mirror all the way to school.

It’s a talent. Getting some kids to cooperate isn’t easy. Other kids love to make adults happy.

My DD was going to be named Colin, if she was born a boy. Mum objected and said she didn't want her grandchild named after a body part (colon). Maybe her hearing was bad even back then.

Colin is a nice name. My mom had a photo of her holding a little girl named Julie Ann and I knew she would have loved for her to be hers. I wished she was my sister. I don’t have brothers or sisters and always wondered why some siblings get along and others don’t.

I used to clear female snapping turtles off our road at our old house. You can't pick up snapping turtles because their shell is small and they can reach all the way back to their tail and bite you. I used to find a branch on the side of the road and push under their backside to move them. They would hiss at me all the way. There is sand on both sides of the road, not in the middle. So the side is a better place for them. And their babies would have to cross the road as well.

Once at camp we were walking and found a small turtle toy but when we picked it up it was a baby snapping turtle very small ...we left it right there.

Morning. Aren't we lucky we know how to knit on the days we have nothing planned. When we were in lockdown some of my friends kept complaining they had nothing to do. I made a lot of knit items during that time just to occupy myself and now the items will be useful to others.

I got a hair cut today and said just what you said. I think following patterns and designs helps keep the brain functioning better.

Good for you and good for the recipients. My items are not as nice as your blankets. I seem stuck on making hats as I think they are the most useful things for those that do not have warm clothing. Right now I am making a baby sweater. New born pattern called for dk yarn. I am using ww. I believe the finished size will fit a 2 year old. Size does not matter when donating items. Hopefully they all can and will be used.

Our local seamstress has knit children’s pieces her daughter knits on display and they are bought fast. I’m attracted to bunting patterns but have not made one yet. I don’t know how I went from retirement at 65 to being 75. Cut way into my knitting possibilities. I also like quilting, tole painting and cross stitch. Not many crafts I haven’t tried. I think I’m least interested in doing scrap booking tho I love seeing what people make.

Hello girls, I'm back home. I've climbed the stairs. Went to see Albert on the way home then Sue brought me home and had a coffee with me. I've just left my bags unpacked and come for a lie down on my bed so thought I'd message you all. I've promised to call them if there's something to help me.

It's strange getting home. I've loved my time with them and I'm sure they felt the same. It's early days yet, but Stephens getting my shopping because I'm not allowed to drive for four weeks.

Nice to be home, but a bit lonely. I'm ok though. Love yawl.

So glad you are progressing. It’s nice you can be with them sometimes and home other times. Pace yourself so you don’t do too much at first. I tend to overdo when I’m trying to assure myself I’m fine.

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. Happy Canada Day. It is 11:42 am EDT and 27'C (81'F). We had a lot of dark clouds yesterday evening but only a little rain. It was enough to bring out all the flowers again.
My laptop is acting up. I've had to restart it twice today. Not good. I'm hoping it is just digesting an update.
No covid info today as everything is closed for the national holiday. It's too hot to do anything, except mum keeps asking me to go for a walk at the lake, at midday when it is at it's hottest. She just came in from outside, complained that it felt like an ice cube and was fanning herself because she was hot. Mixed messages.
I'll be doing icord all day today again.
