In spite of it all, you got some nice shots of these big boys! Good luck with your cataract surgery. It should be a breeze!
I'm hoping and that is what eveyone tells me. Wife had both eyes done by this surgeon a few years ago and still raves about how it improved her eyesight!!
Good luck with the surgery, jederick. Looks like that was an occasion for manual focus. Hope you get to feeling better real soon and we'll await your after-surgery posts.

Is very frustrating as they were heading away from me through some heavy timber. Anyhow, this is a pair of two year old cubs somewhat in the open as they were feeding. Mother was further in the timber and I was unable to get any decent images of her. At times the snow was quite heavy and the bears could not be seen. These shots were all taken as the snow waxed and waned and played hell with the Auto Focus!
On another note, I have been fighting a bad head cold for the past week. Normally I wouldn't mention this but I'm scheduled for my first cataract surgery tomorrow morning. Just finished with the surgeon's nurse who cleared me to have the surgery as my temperature is back to normal and bronchial coughing has subsided. My second cataract surgery is scheduled for the 24th so don't know if I will be posting much for the next couple of weeks.

First, best of Good Luck with your surgery, Jim. Looking forward to seeing more of your images once you're all "tuned-up".
Second, great sequence here. I have only see one "Griz-in-the-wild", an unexpected encounter that nearly soiled my shorts. So, for my money, a 208mm lens is not nearly long enough. More power to you, fella.
Excellent shots, Jim. You'll be amazed how different colors appear after surgery.
Very nice shots Jim, and good luck with the surgery. After putting off cataract surgery for several years, I finally had both eyes done. The difference in vision is amazing, and the recovery quick. Dollars to doughnuts, you'll be back posting on the site sooner than you think.
Beautifully done, Jim. Especially love the bear in the light snow. Praying that your surgery is totally successful with a minimal recovery period.
All the best with the surgery, Jim. Cataract surgery is pretty routine, just follow doc's instructions. You'll be ready for more grizzlies and your signature barns in no time.
Good luck to both you and J Riepe with your surgery. Take care of your body it is the only place you have to live in.
That's a double WOW! I admire camera talents and your courage.

I sure enjoy sharing your photos and adventures along with meeting you at Farmington Bay on occasion.
I had my cataract surgeries a few years ago and it was the best thing ever. I have had glasses since I was 8 and contacts since I was 12. I had laser surgery in 2001 and now with cataracts removed I have the best vision I have had in my entire life. I still need reading glasses but my distance vision is, and has remained 20/20.
I wish you the best with your surgery and look forward to seeing you again.
