Last week I kept getting notices that Topaz had an "updated" Sharpen program, but I couldn't get it to download. Finally, Saturday it did. It took over two hours to install! Then, when I went to use it, it was horrid. It does a good job of what it does. But it took 25 minutes to save the image! The previous version was quite fast - about 2 minutes to save. This new updated version is completely unacceptable. Does anyone know how to go back to the previous version? Does anyone else have this problem with the latest update?

Definitely and it's not just us. I've read numerous complaints on other social networking sites and the only solution seems to be to buy a gaming computer. I, however, don't think that particular program is worth dropping two grand on a gaming computer.
Hope they fix it because it does a really good job and can work for you if you go out to lunch while its processing.
The wonderful world of heavy post processing .....

Well, that's sort of stupid on their part, I think.

I haven't had that problem, but I will say that I have had occasion to contact Topaz for a fix and they are very prompt in getting back and solving the problem for me...go to your account and click on the product...then support to fill out the form.

I was asked to use the downloading tool-Apple. Took a while to download but it uploaded just fine and works quite well.
Have those with issues checked the preferences in Sharpen to be sure they are using the GPU?
I had to go to preferences and earmark my GPA.
After I restarted. It works much faster
In my download folder I have the installation file for an older version but I saw on youtube that you should uninstall the newest version before reinstalling an older version and I don't have enough confidence in myself as I'm not tech savvy. I post processed six images today that took hours.

In the past I had conflict issues with the older Topaz products. They advised me to delete every instance of Topaz products. I then downloaded them as I needed and wanted, one at a time. Do not know if would work for you or not. They did guide me via telephone through the process but it all made sense to me.

I've sort of been avoiding that. But, it's not usable in its current state, so I guess I'll have to.
