The taser is carried on the opposite side of the handgun. However, she was yelling "Taser,
Taser Taser" before firing. She must have been terrified is all I can think of.
I never carried a Glock when working and didn't want to. Back then we had heard horror stories of accidental
firings with the Glock and lots of officers considered it unsafe. Apparently, the thinking has changed now
Seems most departments are issuing the Glock. My old agency is using them now. I always wanted a weapon with manual safety and Glock does not have one. A manual safety can easily be disengaged as the weapon is drawn with proper training. Actually, if I am not mistaken, the US military is issuing the Glock.

Correction to my last statement. The military issues a Sig.

Somebody with knowledge of the type of pistol police carry and the safety of that type.

Is safety engaged when gun is holstered.

Or how can officer mistake. Gun fir tazer if you have have to take Gun safety off. Before firing.

Thanks

Some veteran, not impressed. If they are that scared they should not be in the field.

From the bodycam footage, the police officer had stationed herself at the rear of the car and didn't move up until things went south. The boy died because he tried to flee, but the cops had his name and the license of the car, they knew where he would go...eventually. It's definitely a tragedy.

I'm not a big fan of female police officers or forward deployed female soldiers. There, I said it.

I own a P38. It's sitting right next to me. However, I'd hardly think of using it as a defensive weapon. Its best use is opening cans.

I remember because if it was cocked and you put the safety on, the hammer went home, which I found a bit unnerving. I have no input on the Glock, as I'm unfamiliar with it.

The man got shot because he tried to get back in his car, was it to flee or to grab a firearm? The officers had their suspicion because the warrant was for carrying without a permit and in the excitement of battle she pulled the wrong weapon.

He tried to resist arrest where it was impossible for him to get away. His stupidity preceded hers.

Fearful poorly trained cops. Funnily enough it works in court for a get-out-of-jail-free card.

Another question. Don’t police wear their hon on their dominant side and the taser on the other sides.?
How could she make a mistake then ??
