Still cast great doubt on the “ I thought I had my taser” excuse if it takes a concious effort to take the safety off.

In the end “ negligent homicide “ guilty or manslaughter”

She likely was not adequately trained which is no excuse. People who have never been in that type of situation have no clue how they’d react. You’d be surprised what many do under stress.

Part of her punishment will be living with what she’s done.

20+ years on the force.

Her taser was yellow and holstered on the opposite side as her gun.

Did she really make a mistake.

It usually happens while backing up, a number of us, me included have done such a thing, I was under stress with a bunch of the family in the car crying over the death of a relative. Stressful situations can lead to big mistakes, we are all human and subject to mistake.

20 years on the job means nothing if one isn’t adequately trained. People do a lot of unexpected things under stress.

You think this was deliberate? Are you kidding?
