Mighty fine Coyote Pics. They do lack that luxuriant winter coat of the Yellowstone Coyotes, however.

Thanks Ken. I was hiding behind a tree and making squeeking noises to bring him in close. He could hear the shutter but was still thinking maybe there was a mouse or something to be had. When he got too close I stepped out so he could see me, he was surprised to say the least!

Nice photos and good story! We've enjoyed your Florida photography, but glad to hear you'll be able to get back on the road again!
Stay safe,
Don

Good set, Chief! My son lives in a part of Winnipeg that I grew up in. When I was a kid, the area, on the outskirts of the city, was sparsely populated. I never saw a coyote in all the years I lived there. Today, 70 years later, the limits of the city have pushed well past there and the place has a relatively large population of coyotes, with people posting photos of them on Facebook almost daily. There are a couple of fairly large wooded areas (parks) where I imagine they spend a good deal of their time.
Good set, Chief! My son lives in a part of Winnipe... (show quote)

Thank you GreyOwl. Are they eating pets?

Thank you again Don. Yes we have had a good time with our extended stay in Florida, but happy to be moving on! West of the Mississippi is where I belong!

Chief, Will you eventually be heading up to Alaska? If so, then your journey will take you to many of America's most beautiful regions and I look forward to seeing much of it here on future postings.

Yes, we will. Not sure when. That's where our vehicles and drivers licenses are registered. We share an address with my Brother up there and we make it up there every couple years when we can. Not the last two years because of the Covid business but next year, I hope, the border will be open. When we make it back up, you will certainly see some photos.

Thanks Rob. There was a Red Shouldered Hawk on a post out of the frame making all kinds of racket.

Wow right back at you! Very nice of you to say! Thank you very much. We are now in Massachusetts for a month or so. I don't know what photo ops will be available here but I did see some moose crossing signs in upstate NY and Pennsylvania on the way. I might have to dip into the archives a bit for awhile.
