It would not be nice to have cooking fish smells when your stomach is not doing well.
So sorry.

Appetite back today, actually not too bad when I was cooking the fish but when I went to eat dinner I just couldn't. Oh well it doesn't hurt missing a meal now and again. xx

Hello everyone, so sorry I've been away for so long. Hopefully now I have come back I will drop in more frequently. I don't know any of your news except June told me most of you have had your vaccinations. I'm at a pharmacy right now waiting to have mine, it will soon be all over. I'll pop back in when I get home

I'm glad that you got your shot.
You'll be reading back pages for a while.

I'[m going to sign off now and get a cup of tea. Bella-kitty decided that 2 in the morning was a good time to be a pest, so I didnt get as much sleep as I would have liked. Hopefully today will be a slow work day.
Everyone stay safe and have a good day.

I'm glad that you left when they got close. Some people are not getting the message to stay six feet apart, even with the mask.

Some people just plain ignore it. Two men got stuck up a mountain in the Lake District a couple of days back, called mountain rescue who responded of course and one of the rescuers slipped and fell. They say he will be totally paralysed with perhaps just a little movement in his arms. The men they rescued had completely ignored the law not to travel and had gone there from Liverpool and Leicester. All they got was a £200 fine for breaking covid laws. xx

What a tragedy and one that certainly could have and should have been avoided. xxxooo

Good morning from a still dark and overcast Seattle area. It's 36F here this morning. It was well above freezing yesterday (all the way up to around 41F), so the snow is melting off nicely. No rain for today but the snow will continue to melt, so that's good. No plans once again, so will hang out and get on with my knitting. I hope you all are having a good day/afternoon/evening. xxxooo

Good morning all from a yet again, grey and dismal London, with the threat of rain!! 11'C already though so quite mild.

Had a lovely walk with DD yesterday, it's so nice to have someone to talk to while we walk! We covered 3.5 miles yesterday, most of it quite hilly too and so far no ill effects!!

Had a phone chat with my dear old friend in Cornwall. She was 96 last week, mentally, sharp as a tack but getting a little frail and wobbly now though. Apparently, on Saturday night at about 11 o'clock, she went into her bedroom, lost her balance and went down. Didn't break anything but she couldn't get up. She has an alert pendant but of course, she wasn't wearing it and couldn't get to it, nor the phone! To cut a long story short, (she took 90 minutes to tell me all this!) eventually, her dog walker friend appearedk and let himself in. She asked what he was doing there so early and, looking puzzled he told her it was 7.30 at night! She had been on the floor for 20 hours!! Paramedics came and got her up but she wouldn't go to hospital, because of the dog, the stretched NHS and the risk of catching Covid 19! She's a bit traumatised and very sore but she'll be fine and was so lucky not to have broken a hip!!

Have a good one everybody, I'm of to continue knitting my hat, it's going well!! Lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Good morning all from a yet again, grey and dismal... (show quote)

I agree whole heartedly with you. One of the rescuers said that it was something that was totally unavoidable. As for $200. That's chicken feed these days. Another rescuer was in tears when he was interviewed. He said they were all going to take it in turn to push his chair....poor soul....

That poor Rescuer; I think those fools who had to get rescued should have to help to pay for his ongoing Care Needs, which he would not have needed; if those men had obey the COVID Rules! 😤😞😖

Can your lock not be opened from the outside? So DH wouldn't have to wake you to get in.
I don't suppose you can convince Michael to have a snooze with you mid-afternoon?

No the inside door has an alarm and the front door has a latch with a master lock on it so they can only be turned of and opened from inside!

It's good to see everyone again, I've missed you all. I'm fully recovered from my bout of covid, unfortunately DD went down with it a couple of weeks later. The good thing about that was I had done one day back at work which had completely exhausted me and because she had covid i had some more recovery time. I'm mainly working from home which is hard work but I like not having to get up until 7 o'clock instead of 5.45.

I hope it doesn't take too long, for you to recover your strength; I also hope that both you, and DD recover fully, with no lingering symptoms! xoxoxo
