Morning. Your weather sounds like ours rain, sleet, snow, and then rain again.
I can just imagine seeing the parade of hats walking past your house.
Enormous sounds like a good size for an afghan. What might be enormous for you will be a good size for someone else.

An elephant? xx

Good morning all from a cloudy and misty Norfolk, at least it is dry at the moment, it rained all day yesterday apart from when it was trying to sleet and snow, more of the same threatened for tomorrow. Finished the first section of my afghan apart from the edging, five more to go, it's going to be enormous. Am sitting here watching all the bobble hats walk by, our hedge is tall enough to make it look as though they are out on their own. Well we find our amusement where we can these days. Have a good, safe day. xx

Good morning all from a grey and gloomy London but at least it's not raining! Like Jacky, it rained here all day yesterday, it was really miserable!

Sadly, no cooker for me today, they haven't a qualified gas fitter/driver available due to staff sickness and have re-booked me for next Friday! Hey ho, we won't starve!!!

My cousin posted this on Facebook, I thought it was hilarious - but probably only if you know how to play chess!!!
Have a good one, whatever you are doing and thank you all for being there for me to chat to, keeps me sane-ish!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Morning. Now you still have something to look forward to.
I get the chess move even though I have not played in many years. Did make me smile.
I agree this group of wonderful people helps keep me sane-ish.

Happy Fish Fry Friday.
Lucky you to have a new phone. I hope the phones are similar so there is not a big learning curve.

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:46 am EST and 0'C (32'F). There is a storm approaching with flurries, rain, mixed precipitation. Stuff will be falling from the sky. What it is, depends on the temperature that we reach.
Mum and I went for a 2 km walk along a country road and the mist was really nice. We got some pictures from a hilltop. (My pictures are in the email somewhere. I will post them as soon as I get them.)
Our new covid number is 3326. The positivity rate has not changed. Our of our 5 long term care facilities in Port Hope has had an outbreak. The first case was 3 days ago and now they have 14 cases. And our local hospital is useless. Hopefully, because these are serious cases, they will be transferred to Peterborough hospital, which is a larger, better run and equipped hospital. Cobourg hospital is fine for casts and boo boos. One of my co-workers contracted covid. And she is on my team, so we are short-staffed. She lives a hour north of my brother's cottage, so about 3 hours north of here. She definitely works remotely. She is 4' something with 4 huge boys, who all have children. One of the grandchildren lives close to Toronto. I know that one of her boys took that grandchild up north to see Grandma during Christmas. She was planning to retire this year. She will be off work for a month.
The boss has told me that there will be a surge in hirings, but I haven't seen it yet. It has very quiet at work.
I continue to knit my first contiguous sleeved sweater. I was going to change to a larger size mid yoke, but I put my biggest cable in it and tried it on and now I am going to continue with the current size. It looks small but fits fine so far. (I didn't take any pictures.🙄)

Isn't that lovely. Most phones now have a setting to save contacts and phone numbers on the SIM card, instead of in the phone memory, by default.

Our bird nesting boxes are down for the winter as the squirrels insist on making the holes big enough for themselves and filling the boxes with seeds. There are enough sunflower seeds buried in our lawn and raised gardens that we will be pulling out sunflower plantlets for all of April and May.
Yay for new phone.

Sorry about the cooker. Hopefully they won't cancel again next Friday.
I bet that floor unconsciously encourages people to stand on the squares, and not over multiple squares.

I thought I had some clothing that was long wearing, but 20 years beats anything that I have.

The TV has said that we just received a shipment of vaccine, but it was not as large as we were expecting again. Pfizer has promised we will get 1 million doses per week STARTING IN APRIL (after just about all the G7 countries have the majority of their vaccine programs completed)
