Better than any I have gotten, Carol. I might as well try to photograph Mars in the daytime. Nice job.

You’ve made me feel better. I was beginning to think I was jinxed with these speed demons. I’ve never tried Mars, day or night!

Thank you! She may have been pretty but she was a smarty pants! She had some very harsh things to say.

Great work so far! Keep it up. I've never had a Kingfisher this close.

Thank you! This is a substantial crop but it was the closest opportunity for me, too. I was so shocked to see her sitting there that I didn’t even zoom as much I should have. It was very early so that may account for the posing.

In the past I've lamented my failure to get a half way decent picture of a Kingfisher. When I am in their territory they just mock me! These shots aren't great by any means. They were shot from a car window hand holding the D850 with the 200-500, which is almost more camera than I can heft. This fellow was sitting atop a Mangrove making a lot of noise. I think I can safely say these are my best Kingfisher shots to date!

And he's bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and ready to go Fine shot

Thanks, Joe. Every time he squawked his tail came up. It was quite a spectacle.
