Very nice photos to start this challenge. I love photographing trees as we have so many cottonwoods on the farm.

This is one of my favorites of a photo I took of horses in a cottonwood forest.

Karin, I don't have many images of trees, other than forests. However, I did find these 2 shots.

The first was taken a few winters ago. I was on a group nature walk in a local state forest. The day was miserable - cold and dreary, no birds or wildlife worth shooting. I got it into my head to shoot upward.

The second was taken on a short walk at the Grand Canyon. People all over the place! I spotted this lone tree, and just went for it.

That first photo is wonderful. I have done this a few times laying on my back looking up.

Thanks for hosting, Karin. Sure to be popular! Here are a few from this icy week with more ice and snow to come.

Trees take on a whole new look when they are covered in frost. Very nice images.

I like how this tree is framed by branches. Beautiful.

Very nice photos. I especially like the bark on the Aspens.

Great start and thanks for hosting, Karin. I'm sure you're
going to see all kinds of trees.

I have quite a few, so in no particular order, here are some gnarly ones.

Pg 2 - Great images, Kat. Some of these look like
the sparse trees we saw in Aruba. (We were expecting
a "lush" tropical island, but Aruba is a desert island
with far more cacti than trees.)

The most common tree in Aruba is the Divi Divi tree
which looks like the ones in the last two images.
