Great start and thanks for hosting, Karin. I'm sure you're
going to see all kinds of trees.

I have quite a few, so in no particular order, here are some gnarly ones.
Tim

Good grief, those certainly are some gnarly-looking specimens. Now I'm going to have to see what I can find when I'm finally out and about again.

This is a favorite subject of mine so I am sure I can find a few examples....

The first one of the birches is my favorite. The last one of the lone tree is a pretty close second.

Very nice photos to start this challenge. I love photographing trees as we have so many cottonwoods on the farm.

This is one of my favorites of a photo I took of horses in a cottonwood forest.

Very beautiful image - horses in the snow with trees. What's not to like?

That first photo is wonderful. I have done this a few times laying on my back looking up.

Thanks. Just popped into my head due to the sheer boredom of that particular walk.

You've got some really tortured looking trees there. The fourth one looks like it has a bunch of poodles climbing it.

Here’s one from yesterday morning, looking across a snowy field, with frost hanging on the trees.

I took this panorama on The Blue Ridge parkway last summer at The Rocky Knob overlook near Floyd, Virginia. It is one of my favorite places on the parkway.

I REALLY like your second image in this series. The framing with the tree trunk just works.

Thanks much Mike!
