#6, 8 and 10 are wonderful, Joe!
If only those pesky tourists could have cleared out for the shot of the Floating Torii Gate!

Hi - I am back reading your comments - had to have an interruption, we had a lunner with our family in London, our lunch their dinner, we do that every Sunday, good activity to have some time with the kids over a meal. Yes, exactly what I was thinking for the Floating Torii Gate - I was secretly hoping that the tide would be in and then we wouldn't have that problem, but this time I wasn't lucky. I actually can't understand why the authorities don't but a non-walking sign on, at least close to the Torii, but that's how unfortunately too many people are: seeing is not enough, they have to go and touch it or, heaven forbids, pose themselves with the object - its amazing how many people fly half way around the world to have their own picture taken with a background, may as well stay at home.
Love #2, once again my beloved reflection shot!
Once again, an interesting array of photos from more scenic locations. One thought about the torii gate is that the added people show the size.
Your images have wonderful color, another thing I like a lot.

Thank you again Ellen, Asia has always been close to our hearts, my wife is from Hong Kong and I lived 8 years on the continent, 5 years in Hong Kong and 3 years on a traveling job where I was in a bank auditing team and we hopped from country to country without having a home, just in and out of hotels. It was a great job, paid reasonably well and let you see the world on a full expense account, our team covered the area from Pakistan in the West to Japan in the East and down to Indonesia - that gave me a reasonably good insight into many countries in that area. But of course I still missed seeing some things, such as that Torii gate in Japan, so we finally "mopped this one up" on our last trip out there. You are right, the people give a better sense of dimension, but I still would have preferred to have the Torii in the water, with no people close to it and of course still water so there would be a reflection - well you cannot have everything on a one-day visit. As to color, that's my life - while I can appreciate some B&W photography, color is what really gets me going.
