This second part of the 2017 calendar images will take us to the Far East: Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea and present some enchanting places at the height of the fall colors, particularly in Japan.

4 - Japan/Kyoto - Tofuku-ji Buddhist temple: The famous autumn foliage of its many maple trees attracts huge crowds of visitors - we are seeing it here at is most varied stage

5 - Japan/Nara - Todai-ji Buddhist temple, once one of the powerful "Seven Great Temples" in Nara, originally founded in 738 AD, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, also known for the large number of deer that freely roam the gardens

7 - South Korea/Seoul - Gyeungbokgung Palace: Gyeonghoeru (Royal Banquet Hall) constructed in 1867, set on an artificial island in an artificial, rectangular lake, wooden stairs connect the main floor to the upper floor

Another great show, Joe! Love all of them. IMHO, this set is less eclectic than the others, what makes it more presentable and attractive, again, It’s me.

Thank you very much Eugene for your nice words. I am glad you feel comfortable with these photos, my favorites here are the pictures of Japan, I have visited the Kyoto shrines and temples numerous times since the Sixties, but that iconic torii gate down in Miyjajima had always eluded me so I was very happy to be able to tag that on as a side-trip to our organized tour through Japan in 2017
