If I have a <brand> camera, and the manufacturer goes away, I'll just use the camera until it breaks and simply replace it with another brand at that time.
I might be disappointed that the brand went away, but that's life.
My stuff is NOT an investment, but simply tools.

Howard Johnson's restaurant went away, as well as Comp USA, Kodak, and a crap load of other companies I liked.
And there will be more to come unfortunately......

Not worried about it.
Can't do anything about is.
Stuff happens.
If I have a <brand> camera, and the manufact... (show quote)

That might be your hope...not mine. Nikon DSLR all the way!

I've enjoyed many of your previous comments in other threads. Can you explain why you feel compelled to lower yourself so much as to respond to anything CHG_CANON posts?

I made an observation, if my conclusion is incorrect, instead of irrational name calling, present a reasoned argument to dissuade me. Do you even know what equipment I use?

You made a conclusion not an observation.not one person said anything about how ingratiated the demise of some companies. regardless of your equipment- get over yourself

We see many dire warnings on UHH. The end of DSLRs. The demise of Nikon. Etc. For the most part these warnings come from people who do not use the equipment they are predicting the failure of. For example mirrorless users predicting DSLRs are finished, or Canon/Sony users predicting the collapse of Nikon. It seems the people initiating these posts get perverse enjoyment from seeing other brands have difficulties.

It’s the click bait personality seeking attention. Those who find that stuff annoying fail to see it as comedy, but those who leap in to defend whatever thing is under attack are the comic players. Can’t have theater without players strutting the stage.

Cinderella??? Camera??? I don't understand the connection. It is more like a disconnect.

You have to understand that on occasion, CHG_CANON waxes whimsical. I enjoy his diversions.

It is unfortunate that you narcissistic personality should take it like a direct attack on your choice of equipment. the world does not revolve around you and was in not way a personal attack on your fragile ego. Grow up!

Your reading of that which you critique is huuuuuugely deficient. Your attempt to compose your reply, to something that exists only in your own mind, is pathetic.

Sure can. First CHG is a very good photographer. He is also very knowledgeable about many photography related technical concerns, too much so sometimes. His one-liners are often irritating and sometimes spot on. I'm just hoping I can keep him from swerving into the next lane and causing a pile up. I don't think I'm "lowering" myself to respond to his posts.
Thank you for your compliment concerning some of my previous comments, I appreciate it! I know I fall wide of the mark sometimes when I don't put enough thought into what my fingers are doing on the keyboard! If I do that, I welcome your input.

It’s the way he “reads” and writes. He always misreads posts and replies with barely readable rants. Basically he’s contentious and nearly illiterate. Keep in mind that this is an infotainment site, not an educational site, and then all the role playing makes sense.

Is that loose jumble of verbiage intended to express anything ? Got serious doubts that whatever might underlie it is worth knowing anywho.
