Love this photo! First thing I thought was “Miss Saigon” of course not the same,but that’s what popped into my head.

I saw that on stage with my husband who is a Vietnam Veteran....I loved the live show...than I saw the movie...

perfect shot as is, nothing has to change, wish I could take one like that.

1st Cav 65-66. many hours in a Huey as a passenger, still get a chill when I hear one.

We (Org. that we belong to) have restored 3 Hueys back to flight status and hope to begin work on restoring a Cobra...We have a medivac, slick, and a "B" model gunship....

Beautiful shot; great composition. Only improvement is a natural for Photoshop. Addition of movement to Rotors via softened duplication/rotation of blades and adding them to photograph to show how a metal object remains airborne.
UHH had a really good discussion on photographing vintage aircraft last year that even suggested shutter speeds to show prop movement while keeping the aircraft clear, BUT using a higher shutter speed and "perfecting" the photograph later is equally effective. I would certainly use your high shutter speed since you were also airborne. Boris
