Terrific shot. Perhaps the most fun car I ever owned was a 1952 MG-TD. It was a year old when I bought it. The previous owner had installed a British made Shorrok (my spelling may be off) supercharger. It performed great with the supercharger. I drove it from Seattle (home at that time) to San Diego for Navy boot camp . . . barely making it to SD when the engine started making noise. The MG dealer told me that my engine main bearings were shot because of the extra high cylinder head compression. They made the repairs and I never used the supercharger gain . . . sold the car when I went into the Navy. Bought a New Triumph TR3 after my Navy time . . . but now that I am 86 years old and reflecting on fun cars . . . the MG was clearly the most.

Beautiful car and wonderful shot.

Another former MG owner and fan here...in our younger days wife and I had; Two MG-B GT's, MGB conv...they were so fun to drive, and being very mechanical I did all the work on them. Austin Healey, yes, TR-6... Another love affair, 1969 Alfa Romeo GTV Veloce Coupe (with factory racing engine) I still dream about that car - woohoo fun to drive

If it would start 😈. Apologies to MG fans, but having owned several, I couldn’t resist. Can’t see the wheels, but looks like a TD. Nice shot!

Yes looks like a TD. I have had two or them. A 1951 and a 1953, also a B. My TD's almost always started but then I had to work on them almost daily. Synchronizing carbs, and the Lucas electronics were the worst. The TD was the only four cylinder car I knew of that could run on one cylinder. I could disconnect three sparkplugs and it would still run at about 15 mph. Wish I had at least one of them back.

"...(Lucas electricals and all)..." lol Yep, I always had a can of silicon polymer to spray on the ignition on rainy days... The real hoot was the electric fuel pump behind the passenger's set... best low fuel gauge ever... when running low on petrol it would start "ticking" i.e. pumping air on tight curves... a sure sight for pulling into the closest gas station...

Thanks TriX for sharing...

Thomas, I never had an MG but my buddy did! A truly fun car! My first was an Austin America. Roomy and built like a tank with a zippy little motor. After that, I had a Ford Cortina, another nice car. $695! Than, I had a 76 TR7 and a 78 TR7. Nothing but electrical problems. Comfortable and both handled like crazy, but in the shop once a month.

There were about 100 British cars in the parking lot at the college. I was hyperventilating almost the whole time I was there, and my neck hurt from turning here and there, here and there. Thanks for looking.

I loved English cars from my first car in 1973 until I bought an Audi 5+5 in 1981.

Sippy, you know those MGs were great for catching bugs with the top down and half of your head sticking up over the windshield

I loved the Austin Healy, but never had one. I had a used Austin America for my first car, 4 years old, $600. I was in it with two friends when we got hit by a semi- on the expressway. My car hydroplaned into it. A big dent in the side that went in about two inches. A Tank. Comfortable, zippy, and quite roomy

Anything British automotive, I loved it. I almost bought a bright red Jensen-Healy Interceptor for $1000, for nobody I knew could imagine where to get parts for it. Had two incredible-to-handle TR7s that were in the shop once a month on average.
