If it would start 😈. Apologies to MG fans, but having owned several, I couldn’t resist. Can’t see the wheels, but looks like a TD. Nice shot!

Epic! major fan of Morris Garage TD... dream car but I had to settle for an MG-A... much later for an MG-B GT.
Likely the most fabulous ride I've ever owned...
I was dirt poor (staving college student) so when my battery died in the Winter of 1966 I used to use the manual starter crack to fire up this beast... lol Always had lots of comments about that...

On a summer's day with the top down it was dream i.e. Nirvana a place of perfect peace and happiness...
Miss it dearly...

Thank you so much for sharing joecichjr...
All the best on your journey...

You are a purist! I never used the hand crank. I had an MGA also (among my dozen other British cars, all of which I owned when I was a dirt poor student or in the military), which I ultimately shoe-horned an 1800cc MGB engine into.

The MGA is a timeless body style. If I could find one of the rare twin cam versions, I would buy it tomorrow (Lucas electricals and all).

"...(Lucas electricals and all)..." lol Yep, I always had a can of silicon polymer to spray on the ignition on rainy days... The real hoot was the electric fuel pump behind the passenger's set... best low fuel gauge ever... when running low on petrol it would start "ticking" i.e. pumping air on tight curves... a sure sight for pulling into the closest gas station...

Thanks TriX for sharing...

Yep, I remember the AutoPulse electric fuel pump well (replaced it with a Bendix). Trivia question: why do the British wear driving gloves? Answer: So they can pull the burning wiring harness from under the dash without burning their hands. Ask me how I know...

Nice photo.

I had a friend in college who had one of those (his dad was a car dealer)--lots if good times in it.
