I am going to have to leave this discussion for a few hours. That'll give you time to think more clearly.

I need no time to think clearly, as I too remember the first years of the Obama presidency and his efforts to ram through the ACA which was polling at about a 75% negative at the time... My recollection is that the president sat on his hands as Pelosi and Reid told the republicans in congress that their input into the bill was not needed or welcomed, Pelosi when so far as to change the locks on the conference rooms so as to not allow republican congressmen to enter... Republicans were not allowed to read drafts and only received copies of the 2350 page bill the day before the vote.... Let's see that is a bill so voluminous that democratic rep John Conyers said that it would be a waste of his time to read the bill...

Is this the cooperation and olive branch to which you speak?

Sorry Hunter Lou, fixed the links must have pasted the wrong URL a couple of times....

Lived in Northern Minnesota, so beautiful the North Shore.. Maybe you should get down there with your camera and give up political debating as you just don't seem to have the aptitude for it.

4 different articles which shows the democratic obstruction to allowing any input from the republican party on the largest piece of legislation written in 50 year... All 4 going to the broken promises of both the president and the congressional leaderships promises of bipartisanship cooperation and transparency to the public, even going so far as to report Pelosi changing the locks on the doors to block republican participation, and all you have to say is that the articles were written on the same day?

Let's take a couple of steps back Hunter Lou.. Shall we?

I was having a conversation with Richard where I said this....

Quote:

Then you being so full of yourself and your self righteousness could not resist to jump in with this;

Quote:

So now I post for you 4 different articles that report and confirm exactly what I was saying and you want to question me about the dates as if that has some kind of relevance? Hunter Lou, is that how they win debates in Minnesota? Funny I don't quite remember things that way up there...

Typical Democrat, you just had your ass handed to you and you somehow think that you won the argument. You told me that I make fools out of any who would believe me... I will say to you Hunter Lou, at least in this instance it is you that has shown yourself to be the fool.

I was reading your three of the same articles. I believe your wrong about not having the Rep. have input. they were given ample opportunity and they just thought it would be funny to be obstructionalists. That's the way it has been. Don't for one second let any right wing representative tell you any different. The ABC news orgaization is not oo far from FOX News when it comes to craping a lie once in awhile.

I've been around and didn't just get off the bus yesterday. It doesn't take too much knowledge to know that FOX News is a far right winger type of organization. It supports truthfully the upper 2% of the electoret. It may at times show a liberal point of view but mostly a lessor point of view that has no bearing on any political position these days. I find the journalists to be of less quality than most news organizations. Yea, they do report other stories that most other news stations don't cover. It's probably because they try and avoid most coverage that would have a liberal point of view. The lawyer women who does the news in early afternoon is easy to listen too. She does a respectable job but the late afternoon and evening scene is just worthless as far as I'm concerned. I think Hannity wishes he could be a politician but he's ruined his reputation over the years he just doesn't dare run for elected office. He's just a knockout numbskull.

No one is arguing that Hannity is not a right wing flame thrower, but he is part of their opinion programming, the mid-day and early evening is hard news... Bill Hemmer and Martha McCallum, Megan Kelly, Bret Bair, and Shep Smith, that is their hard news team, every thing else is opinion programming.

Hannity is no different than Big Ed or Chris Matthews, and I would argue that Bill O'Reily and Greta Van Sustren are a little more balanced than anyone on MSNBC.

No, the olive branch and attempts to secure compromise and cooperation were real ones, not your wild, untrue imaginings.

BlurryEyed, I am not supporting my position just with arguments that you just don't like. I am supporting my argument with my very clear memory of the situation. You can tell everyone you like as many times as you like that the contrary was true. But it wasn't and your assertions to the contrary will never make your statements true (though it might convince a few fools).

I posted links to 4 different articles a little bit back in this thread which report directly on the events and attitudes surrounding the ACA... I think that speaks with much more authority regarding to where this all began to break down than do your, and please excuse my language, lies. Now unless you can come up with something a little more concrete than your memory, well then I guess your argument fails.
