I wear another Christmas Memory - we were engaged, Christmas Eve, 1969, and married June 27, 1970. My wedding band is also a memory - it belonged to my grandmother. We chose our wedding date as close to hers as possible. Grandma's and Grandpa's initials are still engraved in the band along with our initials and date.

I have always attempted to take a photograph of our whole family when we get together around Christmas. Sometimes it’s on Christmas Eve, sometimes before, sometimes after, and few times as late as New Year’s Eve. Before we can get all the grown ups to come in and take their positions the grandkids are always messing around on the chairs anxious to get this part of the evening over so they could start handing out the presents. What a difference 8 years makes.

"2009"
"2009"...

I had them try to replicate that pose in 2017.
