The simple answer, reflection. Particularly since she is so close to it. Also, the color RED is very intrusive because of its warmth and radience. And the skin tones (containing red) seems to pick the outside red and draw it in. That is why, in this series, I also prefer the B&W with her luminous skin and bone structure.
Note: You may find similar situations if photographing in the shade of over hanging green foliage...the green cast, for example.

If you were 17 and went after a 13 year old you'd take quite a beating from the old man. Doesn't it suck to get old and have no idea how old anyone else is---I know because I'm with ya. As a matter of fact they didn't even have girls that look like this in the 60s.........lol
