The entire cemetery is amazing: impeccably maintained grounds and approximately 100,000 graves The President Garfield memorial is there as well as Wade Chapel. Wade Chapel has 2 whole mosaic walls and giant stained glass windows personally designed by Loius Tiffany. Unfortunately, both buildings are closed now

Yes, it is wonderful. It was made in 1924, by a local sculptor, Herman Matzen. He studied in Europe then settled here in Cleveland, Ohio. Apparently there are about another 1/2 dozen sculptures in this area. I am going to find them all and photograph them

Thank you One rude dawg. I do not know the model. There is some question if i's male or female. I'll have to go back and examine it.
It was sculpted in 1924 by "Herman Matzen, a sculptor from Detroit, MI, who studied art in Europe before settling in Cleveland for the remainder of his life. The sculptor died in 1938 and was buried in the same cemetery that houses his famous, eerie sculpture"
The monument is for the Haserot family, owner of a huge canning company. They still service the Ohio and Michigan areas. I see their semis around here all the time
