Angel of Death- Lakeview Cemetery

This is one of the most amazing statues at Lakeview Cemetery in Cleveland Ohio. It is called "Angel of Death" It is bronze, old, larger than life, and very verdigrised. One of my favorites and one of most photographed in the cemetery. Please download and thanks for looking.

Great photos of a beautiful statue!! I can't decide whether #2 or #3 is my favorite.
It is amazing how much money people would spend on statuary, headstones, and other cemetery architecture/art to honor their loved ones. What a shame that so many of today's cemeteries have opted for flat plaques to make it easier to mow. Another venue of excellent art gone in favor of cheap and convenient.

Thank you for the compliment, glad you liked them. I know what you mean about the statuary. This is an old cemetery and has many monuments in stone, granite and bronze.
