My ill-planned visit to Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge on Friday did produce some bird photo ops. Given the active duck hunting going on, I was happy to get some shots of the non-threatened species.

Migration has taken its toll on the number and type of birds at the Refuge. I did, however, get many coots, a bird in the reeds and a lone heron in the middle of a field.

As always, downloads are the best.

Thanks, Don. As I mentioned in my post of the landscapes (https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-671865-1.html#11702573), I really like getting there early and watching the sun rise.

I love the way the Blackbirds hang out in the rushes. That is my favourite in this series, but all are good captures and the heron is great. Please stay well and keep on sharing the great work.

You sure got the birds - and many of them with their mirror-image! Particularly love the blackbird in #4 as well as #8! Enjoy your Sunday - Joe

The downloads are fantastic Mike! I'm glad you could get these with the unfortunate timing you had!

With the landscapes and the birds I think you own Bear River Refuge, Mike.
