New Job...

I'm starting my new job today, a volunteer one. They've asked me to do the photography for the City Of Adelaide. The City Of Adelaide is a clipper ship that brought people and goods out to South Australia in the mid to late 1800s. The ship is the sister ship to the Cutty Sark, The Cutty Sark was built in 1869 and the City Of Adelaide in 1864. It was towed out, on the barge you can see it's sitting on, from Scotland several years ago. There isn't much restoration to be seen from the outside just now but a lot has been done inside.
So I should be able to post some interesting pics in the future...
I've seen the ship from the outside only so I'm looking forward to seeing the inside.
The aim is to keep a visual record of the restoration and other activities associated with the ship.
Should be a fun project..
Documenting the restoration should be an interesting and challenging job! Good luck. Please stay well and keep on posting.

Thanks Dodie, I've always been fascinated with clipper ships. My favourite has always been the Cutty Sark. Very interesting how it got its name...

You have a great opportunity to create an awesome portfolio from it's current stage to being fully restored. Stay safe. Wear a special mask as they scrape or sand that old lead paint that was used. Stay safe and have fun and look forward to your documentation. Stan
A major undertaking. Are volunteers doing the work?
