Great stuff Ron. I look forward to your updates and maybe seeing the project in person one day when the pandemic is over and we can travel around freely with our caravan. Cheers JohnR

I'm starting my new job today, a volunteer one. They've asked me to do the photography for the City Of Adelaide. The City Of Adelaide is a clipper ship that brought people and goods out to South Australia in the mid to late 1800s. The ship is the sister ship to the Cutty Sark, The Cutty Sark was built in 1869 and the City Of Adelaide in 1864. It was towed out, on the barge you can see it's sitting on, from Scotland several years ago. There isn't much restoration to be seen from the outside just now but a lot has been done inside.
So I should be able to post some interesting pics in the future...
I've seen the ship from the outside only so I'm looking forward to seeing the inside.
The aim is to keep a visual record of the restoration and other activities associated with the ship.
Should be a fun project..

Ron, it is hard to believe it still exists, being wood and all. This is an oustanding "job" and you are blessed to have the ability to do it.

Thanks Greg, the wood used in the hull is Teak and survives salt water very well. I'm looking forward to getting involved. I met the coordinator yesterday and he gave me the full tour, even behind the scenes. I also met the guys working on her. I now have full run of the ship and can visit any time. I've already got a list together of items I want to photograph after talking to Peter ( the coordinator) yesterday...
