Good morning all from an overcast and cool London! Going nowhere today, staying in and resting my back, which is aching worse and worse these days. Have just ordered a support belt on my sister's recommendation, let's see if that helps!! Time to get on with my square, which I messed up yesterday because I was tired!! The slow cooker is on with a beef stew inside, I can ignore dinner until it's time to serve!!

Have a good one everybody, lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:56 am EDT and 6'C (46'F). It is raining and dark.
Our new covid case number is 746. Toronto is talking about NOT cancelling Halloween. The kids have to wear masks with their Halloween masks and they say if home owners are worried, to just put the candy at the end of your driveway. (Ha!) The first older kid with a pillowcase will dump it in. We won't be participating this year. Our lights will be off. There are still lots of complaints that transit is overcrowded. Apparently only about 37% of riders are using transit, but transit is saying they don't have enough buses. I'm thinking they don't have enough drivers for the buses.
Yesterday's consultant call was long. We had to call in 3 additional consultants to fix all the problems that we had over the weekend. Including a major fault with the database that the device uses. I still think the cowboys had something to do with that.
I am 4 rows away from finishing the Cat Distraction shawl. Mum wants to "try it on" before I let the cats have it. Tazi has already put her paw prints on it.

I saw a great video on FB yesterday, the guy had two roombas because their lounge was split level so one on each level. In the morning, the one from the upper part was sat on top of the lower one. Their security video showed that they met up at the step so the lower one had levelled out the step and the other one just rolled on top of it, hilarious!!

That must have been grim, glad you've got it out of your system now!! xxxx

Everything was out of my system that night.
I knew when I was eating the burger that it wasn't quite right, but I was in a hurry to eat and get back to work.
In the future, I am not going to try to do as much as lunchtime so I have time to eat properly.

Good morning from a sunny and not quite so cold Norfolk, the Northerly wind has gone for now. Not planning much today, dinner is ready so will sit back and try and enjoy. xx

Enjoy the sun. I think we will be overcast for the next 4 days.

Laundry day today.

Happy Wednesday everyone. Keep well, and safe. Xxx

Happy Wednesday.
mmm Mulled wine plum jam. I found a jar of plum jam in the back of the fridge. I don't remember buying it, so it must be fairly old. Still tasted good though.

Woody is changing in his old age, he keeps taking rounds out of Zee. Sometimes I let her clean his clock, he deserves it. 😼 xoxo

Mama-Smokey has always hit her children once, just to keep them in line. If she goes beyond that, I usually intervene. She is changing in her old age too. She is becoming a more social kitty and wants her pets just like the kids.
Keep an eye on Woody. He may be feeling a little off, which is why he is taking his frustration out on Zee.

I have 12 pair of black socks that are all the same and 6 pair of navy socks that are all the same. Makes matching easy except I am usually one sock short. I think the roomba picked up a sock and carried it under the bed.
That roomba is a blessing most of the time, but it can be very annoying. I have pieces of yarn tied to the cord of my laptop. Tie them on there to make sure it does not get tripped over. Darn if yesterday the roomba did not grab the strings and get everything tangled up. Today I replaced the pieces of yarn with hot pink duct tape. I will not be defeated by a robotic vacuum cleaner.
I have 12 pair of black socks that are all the sam... (show quote)

Mum's socks usually end up rolled up in a towel in the dryer. I have washed socks still inside my pant legs. Those sock do get into some interesting places.
You are lucky that the Roomba didn't pull your laptop down. I got my cords tied up and almost pulled my laptop off my work table. I caught it just in time.

I've often wondered where they all disappear to.. or does the washer eat them?

I have a bunch of single socks hanging on a laundry line downstairs. I refuse to throw them out because I know their mate will show up one day.
