You're welcome, weberwest! Thanks for the approval. I can't compete with your travels, though.

No need for competition - mutual enjoyment works best by far!

The Cathedral of St Nicholas is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in the city of České Budějovice in the Czech Republic. The foundation stone of the parish church České Budějovice was laid around 1265, shortly after the founding of the city. The completion of the main building probably occurred sometime around the mid 14th century. The original Gothic church was damaged by fire and repaired in the years 1513 - 1518. During the 16th century the church acquired a new bell tower called the Black Tower. The church has a triple nave layout with 18th century interiors.

Thank you! Yes. Perhaps even more remarkable is that so many STILL exist.

Thanks, Bob. I love the organs, too. I photograph them everywhere I go. I was one of 2 photographers who documented the installation of the pipe organ in our new church in 2005. Quite a project. (I was also the first church member to play it. When the Voicer had completed work on the very first stop--the quietest--he wanted to hear how it carried throughout the worship space, so he asked me to play something while he wandered all over. I'm only a mediocre organist, but I played the Hymn "Finlandia" over and over while he did.)

I'm sure that was. There is nothing like a pipe organ in a suitable cathedral.

Thanks very much. (You replied twice, but that's OK.) I'm glad you liked it.
