České Budějovice, Czech Republic in 2010 – the Dominican Monastery
The Dominican Monastery is the oldest gothic monument in České Budějovice. It consists of Church of Presentation of Virgin Mary and town fortifications. It was built at the same time as the city and was probably the first town building in the city of České Budějovice. The cloister of the monastery and the Church of Presentation of Virgin Mary are the only remnants of the early gothic complex. The whole monastery complex was probably completed at the beginning of the 14th century. The Church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary is an early Gothic basilica with high, pointed windows and a transept. A Gothic Belfry with a bulb dome (the White Tower) is also part of the monastery.

There is a companion set about St. Nicholas Cathedral in the same city:

Another great set. Not quite as ornate as the other.
Right. This building received considerable renovation much later.
