Some gorgeous compositions here, Kathy. The last could be easily lightened, if you desired.

I'm so sorry you're having all these camera issues. I admire your willingness to continue to pour money into it; I think by now I'd have poured gasoline on it and lit the match

Thanks, Linda. I believe I did lighten that one quite a bit already. I was afraid I'd start losing contrast if I went any further.

I'll come to a limit real soon. It's sure going to be the most expensive paper weight I've ever owned!!!!! I'm hoping Canon will abide by their supposed warranty.

Beautiful shots - at least they can be corrected for a bit of under-exposure here and there in post. I agree, Tanager. Stay well and keep on posting.

Thanks, Mike. I'm trying to get Canon to take responsibility.

Nice shots but perhaps it's time for an R6?

Unfortunately, it failed. But I was able to get a few interesting shot. Well, at least interesting to me. If anyone knows what the red bird is, I'd appreciate knowing. It's about the size of a robin.

As stated by others great images just a little dark.
I take it your camera is out of warrantee, maybe it would be cheaper in the long run to replace it, I hate a malfunctioning Tool, I usually check on the repair cost over the replacement cost, the age of the tool and how much I use it, this goes for mechanic tools and photographic tools, most of the time I have found its better to replace it. I have had enough aggravation in life, Biting the bullet sometimes hurts but like the song says "It Only Hurts for a Little While".

I'll agree with Robert.

Don't know where you are located, but if I saw that bird here in KY I would say Summer Tanager, male. If the wings were darker I'd say Scarlet Tanager.

Thank you, Sylvia. They have sent me a shipping ticket. So I guess it goes back to the hospital.

Well, since I just bought this camera, that's sort of not in the picture. That metering issue is only one of its issues.

Thanks, Marshall. I checked the link, and it does appear to be that. The wing feathers look a bit different, and the sound was certainly different. I had certainly never seen a similar one here, but then I'm not a birder.
