I've never had Prime and my deliveries have been fine. I frequently receive things faster than expected. Seldom are they later than planned. I just wish the delivery person would hit the doorbell to let me know he is dropping something off. I've never had anything stolen, but it is just a matter of time.

The USPS deliveries always result in a doorbell ring. The UPS and FedEx never ring. We are getting to the time of year when we make the most purchases. I know these drivers have a lot to deliver. I wouldn't expect a doorbell ring if the doorbell is hidden, but I find most are readily available.

It seems there are problems with deliveries in the US, I know the UK is lot smaller than the US but I get an email stating when the delivery will arrive a d normally next day. Amazon has employed an extra 10000 proposing UK as they are taking covid swabs to labs Amazon have been tasked by our government for ppe and other deliveries prime deliveries are normally next day. One other thing is that British army medics are doing a lot of swab tests and the army engineers converted a giant conference centre in to an intensive care hospital in eleven days in London and nine other Nightingale hospitals were brought in to use from conference a cross the UK in four weeks

Everything is in turmoil now due to Covid. We had a driver actually hit a parked car.
If you have a driver who really just does not care, that's different.
You can have Amazon instantly call you back Here.
Or you can call Amazon at 888-280-4331.

In the last 10 years I’ve only had two issues with Amazon delivery (Hundreds of deliveries). In both problem cases it is was when USPS provided the last step. Currently most of our Amazon orders are delivered by Amazon. Never an issue. Obviously personal experience depends on where and who.

I do a lot of business with Amazon Prime and have never had a problem, by their own trucks or UP or what ever delivery means, always on the mark.

I have had literally hundreds of packages from Amazon delivered with no problem. That's why I was so aggravated about this current situation. I had a couple of deliveries today, one from UPS and one from the Amazon van, no problems. This is literally the first time I have received a package correctly from one of the Amazon Smile vans.

I have had occasional problems with Amazon delivering to the wrong house in the past. I have also experienced longer than "normal" delivery times recently, although they seem to have gotten better now. But in all fairness, I think you have to look at their situation. All of a sudden we get a virus dumped on us. People are afraid to go out and online purchases increase suddenly and dramatically. That, alone, stressed Amazon's delivery system. Add to that the fact that they had to deal with employees who were afraid to go to work, leaving them somewhat shorthanded for a while. Then, because of the virus, imported items were held up longer at customs, if they were even allowed in at all. Considering that the virus came from China, as do a plethora of consumer goods, that caused a major reduction of availability of some items. Add to that the unusually large number of storms in the south and the fires in the west restricting the movement of goods across the country, and Amazon found themselves facing the perfect storm.

Amazon started prioritizing deliveries based on the necessity of the item. OTC meds, health related items and other things that were considered important for people's health and well being were handled ahead of items that were less of a necessity like, let's say, a camera lens. It may have irked some people to wait a couple of days longer for something they really wanted, but you have to give Amazon credit for prioritizing the health and welfare of their customers.

At this point, I have found that delivery is back to near normal and I am getting items pretty quickly. I would imagine that some of the delivery hiccups were attributed to Amazon having to add new drivers too quickly and perhaps skimping on the training, but the choice was having a few problems or having a driver shortage and really slow deliveries. I think they handled it the best they could and that they have weathered the storm and are getting back on track quickly. They deserve more praise than panning.

My apt. is on 3rd floor. FedEx delivers to the bottom of the stairs where anyone walking by can pick it up. Aarrgh!

I have the opposite problem with the USPS, the package from Amazon arrives too early sometimes. About a week ago a package arrived but it was the day before the tracking info said it was supposed to. I told the postman to take it back and deliver it tomorrow but then relented and accepted the delivery so he wouldn't have to make a second trip.

Why in the world would you do what you did? True, the package arrived early, but you were there to accept, and yet you told the postman to take it back? Wow, I don't get it.

Amazon delivery has tanked, as far as I'm concerned. Amazon is now my last choice when I'm shopping. Nothing arrives in less that a week. I'll get an email saying the item has shipped "Two-Day Delivery," and it tells me that the package will arrive in a week or more. I called and asked about this a while ago, and she said that the 2-day deal means after it has shipped. It never was that way, and I still don't get packages within two days of shipping.

Other parts of the country still have fast delivery, but not here. If other companies can ship within two or three days, why can't Amazon?

I had the same complaint and found them. However it was not because packages were being delivered elsewhere it was because we are still paying for the prime pricing, with free delivery and promised delivery within a couple of days. And it clearly now is taking up to a week on each transaction. I told them if they had made a change to their policy they should’ve notified us because we are still paying the price I requested. No answer other than we’re sorry.... And we will pass it on to the appropriate person. I am very reluctant to want to renew my prime membership.

I think they just can’t keep up with their growth and with that, comes hiring people that don’t give a damn. I had a notice a few weeks ago that my package was on the way and would be delivered in the next 2 hours. there was a link to track its progress. The driver was 2 blocks away and he has 9 stops before he got to me.

I had another delivery this evening... The notification came in on Alexa, & I stepped out onto the porch. Nothing... He had put it outside the porch door, about 5 feet from the sidewalk! I have given them detailed directions, and asked them to deliver it onto the porch. If I had not been there, or hadn't heard the notification, the first person to walk by could have grabbed it without breaking step.

The first time he delivered it to the wrong address, his excuse was that he had delivered it to me, and maybe porch pirates had gotten it, as they had been having some trouble with them. If they have been having trouble with thieves, then why leave a package out on the street???
