These are rarely seen because they blend in so well with their environment. But they are beautiful when you do see them.

Good shootin'. You're right, they are hard to get pictures of and they are very shy.

Excellent shots. Its a beauty. I saw one once in reeds along the St. John’s. They are very hard to spot.

Thanks, Carol. Yeah, in the reeds they stand straight up with their beak pointed up and blend right in. If there is a wind they rock back and forth along with the reeds.
