Has anyone been able to capture the comet that is going past the earth this month? I went out this morning, but did not get anything useful. If you have been able to take a picture, what time, which direction, and what size lens did you use? It is reported to be seen with the naked eye?? I didn't see anything with a 'tail'?? (looked NE and E from Tennessee)

It's been seen and photographed by many. Until now visible before sunrise (at least here in the western US), but in a few days should be visible and hopefully brighter in the early evening. It is supposedly visible with the naked eye, but a pair of binoculars will definitely help.

Thanks. There was about a 1/2 hour window from when it appeared to when it was gone and only about 15 minutes to where it was close enough. Tooooo much stress. LOL

Was not aware of it and have not seen it but will start looking. Starting today it is supposed to be visible in the evening in the northwest sky just above the horizon shortly after sunset (about 80 minutes). It is still also visible in the mornings. It will become more visible a few days from now as the moon fades to a crescent.

Hopefully not TOO visible, if you catch my drift.
