Pg 1 - Like you, Pat, I don't have many of my images captured on film scanned into a digital format. I did do a few, but over the years HP quite updating the drivers for my iMac, and I hate to but another multi-purpose machine when everything else works so well.
I love this image of your little sister and your wonderful canine....dogs are the best!
Thank you again. Loved that dog. My sister was ( still is) my best friend. There are 14 years between us and I was a 2nd mom to her.

As I mentioned earlier, almost all of my "earliest" images I took have never been digitized. I know I took some in the mid-50's, but really got serious in the mid-60's, and unfortunately, they're all in a big, big box somewhere...lol
The ones that I was able to scan before HP quit updating drivers for my printer date back to the late 60's or very, very early 70's...certainly not the "oldest photograph(s) I took," but the oldest I have available. And some of these I've posted before, so I'll apologize in advance...
Enjoy.

These are so fun!! Lake Winnepesaukee is not far from us. And I bet everyone who took pix has similar shits - just different parts of the country. Love it.
OK PAT.....Not sure if you will see this in time to possibly want to change one letter in your comment which has my wife and I laughing and probably anyone else who catches it in the meantime.
BUT....I'm happy you found these "so fun!" Thanks for getting through all 20 of those and for the giggles you created also late into the night.

Nice Tim! Family memories are always so special. I do believe we probably all have those "big, big boxes somewhere." I know I have oodles of older pictures stuffed in several drawers, boxes etc! All on my To Do List.....someday!

A good laugh is needed these days.
This is Easter Sunday, April 6, 1947. I was 4½ years old and in the charge of my sister, Maureen, who was 15. She and her friend took the Kodak Brownie Flash 620 and went out to take pictures. For some reason Maureen asked me to hold the camera for a bit while she did something. I was overcome with the urge to push the button so I did and got this photo of her. Maureen didn't know until the prints came back. She said with a smile, "You took this picture, you little devil!"
This photo is off the same roll that day of my sister and me, taken by her friend, Maureen Gilmore.

Didn't have a chance to get to my first albums today, but this is the oldest one I have scanned into my computer. It was taken around 1966. I have no idea what camera I would have had, but I know it was a film camera. I had always wanted a dog and never had one until I was a newly graduated nurse. Two colleagues were moving and couldn't take their dog with them. Callie became mine and lived with my friends for several months until I moved. He was everything I ever wanted in a dog - smart, intuitive, did tricks, loved kids, and was a great companion. Here he is with my youngest sister who was maybe 8 at the time. It was Callie's birthday and she made him a goodie and insisted they both wear hats - he seemed to enjoy every moment of it. He was a shepherd/collie mix.

I don't know if I can locate the first picture I took or the earliest ones I took, BUT when I joined UHH in 2011 I posted 3 images in the "Introduce Yourself" section. (you can find your posts by clicking on the "My Posts" link at the top of every UHH page). I'm attaching one for tonight.
SO, IF you can't locate your FIRST PICTURE, try to find the FIRST one you POSTED on UHH
Pat I like that Red Maple leaf well done.
