Thinking of purchasing Canon EOS 7D Mark II
I was looking to upgrade my 7d (great sports camera), waited & waited for the 7d III, of course it never can about. After Canon came out with the 90d I studied and compared it to the 7d II. Here is what I cam up with....5d IV. Got a great deal on it this past Christmas. But it is by far the best camera I have used. The images are better for everthing I have takes so far, sports, landscape, street. Its costs more but its a great camera.

I have been considering upgrading from my current Canon 50D to the Canon EOS 7D Mark II. I mainly photograph landscapes and wild life. I have read that this camera is great for sports and other fast moving objects like birds.
My question is would it still be a good purchase for landscape photography.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
The camera has a solid reputation for wildlife. 10 fps. Most folks I shoot with pair it with the Canon 100-400 I and II versions. The I version is a lot less money but the II has an excellent reputation.

Do yourself a favor, go with the 6D Mark II. Canon came out with the 7D to cheaply bridge a gap between the 70, 80, 90 crop sensor series and the full frame series, 6D, 5D. It's not made well compared to the 6D
The 7DII is a tank compared to the frail 6DII. and has better focusing capabilities
The 7D2 was my first dslr I still shoot with it today as my second camera, it is a well built tank . The only thing I would have liked added to it would have been a flippy screen for those ground level nature shots, its getting harder to get my fat ass off the ground after trying to shoot a wild flower or low composition so you might want to consider the 90D
Or if budget allows the 5DIV or the soon to arrv. R5.
7D mkii for BIF, 5D mk iv or ii for landscape. Though older 7D mkii is more robust than the new 90 D, and being older likely a better price point

I have a 70D and a fair amount of lens (including the Tamron 150-600MM for wildlife and the excellent Macro (105MM)). Could I use the Fuji X-T3 with these.
I hesitate to pipe in on this question because I have no first hand experience with adapting EF lenses to the X mount. That said adapters are available, so it can be done. I have stayed away from adapting my EF lenses for two reasons, I have native mount cameras for EF and the physical size and feel of the Fuji body seems under balanced to EF lenses to me. The Fuji X-T series cameras are similar in size and weight to Canon’s FD mount film cameras. The combination of Fuji X-T’s with adapted Canon FD’s are a pleasure to handle although you you lose auto focus. I’m anxious to hear the experiences of those who have adapted EF-X.
I had this camera for 2 years. It's a great camera, but for me it wasn't, hard to explain just wasn't comfortable with it. Moved to 6D Mk2 and been very happy. I do mostly landscape and some portrait and macro.
Canon refurbished is a good way if you opt for this camera. I've used one for four years and the 100-400 MKII with battery grip is my walk around setup. When I purchased it, the FF option was 5DMKII but I couldn't justify an extra $1000 for FF. The secret with any camera is really learn how to use it. So for me I am happy with the camera and have concentrated on getting L-series glass. I know some say L-series is a waste on crop sensor cameras but I still like to have the best glass possible.
I love my 7D MK II. It has been great for every purpose. I am now deciding to upgrade to the 5D MK IV. If you are interested in a near mint used 7D MK II, check my listing on EBAY for it and my favorite lens for it, Canon EF-S 18- 135 USM NANO.
MARNSAM is my EBAY name.

I chose the 80D over the 7DII when my 7D just quit when I was about to shoot the full eclipse almost 3 years ago.
The 80D is newer, an articulating screen, WIFI, 24MP vs 20MP. The one thing I lost out on is burst speed but then I rarely use it these days.
Now the 90D is the new go-to unless Canon comes out with the 7DIII.
I am a camera junkie- I buy and sell cameras all the time just to try them (have had Fujis, 5D's, 6D's, Nikons, etc..)... and my favorite camera of all times is the Canon 7D mii. It does everything well, sports, portraits, animals, kids - seriously it is freakin awesome. It is the only camera that I won't sell. You are going to get a lot of opinions from the guys... but you really can't go wrong with the 7D mii

So on average how much it cost you buy and sell. That is what's the percentage of money you get back from selling?
I have the 7DII (had a7DI) and love it. Great quality camera. I pair it up with my other working camera the 5D and either one makes a great picture, Also will say with the pair all the hand controls are in the same position so either camera in my hand is the same.

I do not have this, I have the 7D and it does great on landscapes, so yours will do much better.
