No trees.... no water.... no clouds..

We Desert Rats are reduced to dirt photos and dry sagebrush at times....

Interesting. Reminds me of a prairie dogs head. Yes, sometimes you have to shoot what you have. I actually like this due to the prairie dog look (at least that is what I see :-)) Exceptional color, focus and great composition.

LOL
I LOVE the title.. you've got a lovely sense of humor for someone in the desert who doesn't wanna be!

You show folks that even dirt and dry sagebrush can be beautiful and interesting!

The desert is a macro shooters paradise. I would rather be in a desert in bloom than almost any place else.

Makes sense to me; only in the desert will you find this type of mix between color and texture...that's because it's...well...a desert! Nice shot

That's a LOT of sand! Looks like the Dunes west of Yuma in Imperial County.

The Sand shot is too awesome for words! Such interesting texture and wonderful colors. Nicely composed and incredibly focused. The kind of shot I can only dream of getting.

The desert is a beauty all its own. I miss it. Burned up many many rolls of film in AZ and UT. For me it is a photographers paradise!

LarryD.,

Love the sand pic. Wow. Stunning and fun to see.

For me, the sky looks too blue in picture #1 and is somewhat distracting versus the tones of the rock/dirt. Is this natural or saturated?

Your choice of subjects is interesting and different for those of us not in a desert. Thanks so much for sharing.
