I like #1 but would like to see your step closer to the tracks ( at least i think thats what they are )and get the shot to look more down the tracks like your leading us down the tracks , it will give you lots of depth in the photo.
Beautiful colors and the clouds are awesome also .
This is just a freindly suggestion .

i prefer number ! for the following reasons. first you have a series of leadingg diagonal lines starting with the light green about 3/4 of the way up the left side. second the angle of the shot generates a more spacious feeling and flow. third number 1 just has a nontraditional look to it that appeals to my sense of unusual or quirky. isn't it interesting that two different shots of the same subject can generate totaly different moods.

Print #2. The diagonal of the tracks are cutting the frame into, and leading the eyes straight out of the right side. A photographic No No!!.

Florida has such beautiful light. Very cool photo. Good luck if you combine them. Like I said, it's a very easy mod.

Here's a shot I'd been wanting to shoot for years. It's on the way from Dallas to a town in E. TX. Drove down one day with a friend ahead of a brief thunderstorm, pulled over, climbed through a barbed wire fence (tearing my shirt), and shot 7 or 8 images that I stitched together for this pano. Love shooting clouds.

Thanks. I'm fairly new to photography and have added clouds to my must list to photograph. Next time I see clouds and blue sky like this I think I'll take a sick day and chase them around the county..

I find that watching the weather forecast for approaching storms is great for planning my shooting. But, like real storm chasers, you have to be ready to roll at a moment's notice cuz, as you know, it changes very quickly. It helps to have some pre-planned sites to head for where you know you can get good shots.

Never really planned that far ahead, but makes since. I have my spots for Sunsets.. Here's one I brought back from Costa Rica in June. Not that cloudy, but I had to climb a mountain to get it. I hope to go back to same local next year to spend more time. PS that's a smoking Volcano in the center bottom.

I vote for the second. Both are nice but the tilt in the first bothers me. In the second, I feel the clouds are much prettier shapes, I like the stone 'path' leading to the clouds, and I like the green on one side and rust color on the other. Nice!

I too like taking shots right before a storm. This was taken in Perdido Key Florida. Early morning storm coming in.
