https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/02/health/us-c****av***s-cases-monday/index.html HERE ARE SOME STEPS TO TAKE TO AVOID GETTING INFECTED
When visiting areas with presumed ongoing community t***smission you should:
• Avoid contact with sick people, in particular those with a cough; Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Stay home if you are sick.
• Avoid visiting markets and places where live or dead animals are handled;
• Follow general rules governing hand hygiene and food hygiene; Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
• Wash your hands with soap and water OR use an alcohol-based disinfectant solution before eating, after using the toilet and after any contact with animals. RULES FOR DISINFECTION AND HAND WASHING: Hand washing and disinfection is the key to preventing infection. You should wash your hands often and thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, you can also use alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. The v***s enters your body via your eyes, nose and mouth, so avoid touching them with unwashed hands.
• Avoid contact with animals, their excretions or droppings. However, according to CDC, at present there is no evidence that companion animals or pets such as cats and dogs have been infected or have spread 2019-nCoV.
• Use of face masks: Facemasks help prevent further spread of infection from those who are sick to others around them. However, face masks do not seem to be as effective in protecting those who are not infected. (If I may add, face mask will prevent you from touching your eyes, nose, mouth which are routes of t***smission for this v***s.)
Stay tuned for more Attic C****-** Updates. Spread the news that we're here.
Take care everybody.[/quote]
The bottom line is, there is little one can do other that washing our hands often and keep your hands away from your face. And that is likely to do little if anything. It is a ride it out thing.
Think of all the places one goes that has lots and lots of people,Work, Restaurants, Schools, Community centers, Disneyland, Amusement parks, casinos, Airplanes, airports, grocery store, stores, etc. How does one know if the guy ahead of you has it and he pumped gas before you did, or the cook at the restaurant has it and coked your food. Ride it out and hope for the best.
This is beyond anything any of us can do. Just hope for a v*****e.
