For Canon or Nikon, I've done very well with Fred Miranda. You put in the ad and price . You decide if you will pay for shipping and/or Paypal 3% (and list in ad) and people can make private offers for you to consider if they don't like your advertised price.

Sounds like as much work by you as eBay.

I saw this add for mpb for selling your older camera gear. You can also buy used equipment from them. Has anyone used them before? I read the reviews online and of course they are all positive. I bought a used Nikon D750 at Hunts camera for Christmas and I no longer need my two Nikon D80s and DX lenses that I have for them.
I’ve bought and sold from eBay and here and had the best luck here. No problems with either but I was careful on eBAy. I had a few scammers offering more than my equipment would cost new but they wanted to deal with me directly. That is a no-no. I have bought from KEH and refurbished from B&H and Canon and got like new gear. Sorry, I have no experience with mpb

Personally all of my old camera gear is in a glass display case in my home office and it will stay there. When I die my family can do with it as they wish. My wife will probably give it all away. She ain't got good business sense.

That’s an awful story for sure. Glad you got your money back. Hope he gets convicted. As for me when dealing with FB MP I only deal local and cash and so far I have had great luck.
He will not get "convicted" for anything, but I do believe he had the S*** scared out of him. All I wanted was my money returned and him taught a lesson, which I think he learned. He made one feeble attempt to contact me on facebook by asking if I had received the money, but I made no response except blocking him. The local District Attorney's Office said that was the best move I could have made.
MPB is great. They pay more than the other companies for used gear

I've had very good luck selling my gear through Birds As Art. They only charge 5%. I just sold a Canon 600mm and 400mm lens in 2 days with several other serious buyers missing out to the "early birds". Once the check clears the bank I send the items to the buyer. Very simple, safe and economical. I get my Sony a7Riv and 200-600mm lens tomorrow, so I'm
