I saw this add for mpb for selling your older camera gear. You can also buy used equipment from them. Has anyone used them before? I read the reviews online and of course they are all positive. I bought a used Nikon D750 at Hunts camera for Christmas and I no longer need my two Nikon D80s and DX lenses that I have for them.

Try KEH.com You list what you want to sell, they send you a quote and a prepaid FedEx mailing label. They evaluate the gear and present an offer. If you accept it's transferred via PayPal.

I have had it with the hassle of EBay and the inherent dangers of Craigslist.

Or sell them here in the buy/sell/trade section. I have both bought and sold multiple items here with zero issues, and you will get higher $ (KEH and MPB need to make a profit).

Roberts also sends you a quote if you fill out an on-line form, so you can explore the salability of an item and decide if it is worth selling it risk free.

Welcome aboard. To answer your question, MPB is a very good honest company to do business with.

I just completed my first transaction with MPB and I was completely satisfied. They emailed me a quote for the three lenses I no was longer using and I felt the price was fair. They sent an email with prepaid shipping instructions and emailed me when the items arrived. They confirmed the price quoted and applied that to the equipment I wanted and shipped that to me. The used equipment was in like new condition and I was delighted. I would deal with them again. I have also had a good experience buying from KEH.

in general, i have observed that companies like mpb rarely offer satisfactory prices for used gear, because they need to make a profit when reselling them. These are reputable companies, that is not the issue. What you are getting is the convenience of having them do the transaction. I have had satisfactory experiences buying used items from these companies (mbp, Roberts, B&H), but selling directly on eBay generates higher dollars.

It might not be worth the trouble to go through a seller. Below is what they recently sold for on eBay - not a lot.

Facebook market place is another place to try, cost nothing and it’s better than CL.
