Send me a PM ... I will do a little research online. I did find a site that worked with Mac and thought it was this one.

I tried this, and I don’t have a “Legacy List” option. I’m running High Sierra right now.

From Mac Support: System Information can find 32-bit apps that are installed on your Mac:
Choose Apple menu  > About This Mac, then click the System Report button.
Select Legacy Software in the sidebar. All legacy software is 32-bit.
If you don't see Legacy Software in the sidebar, select Applications in the sidebar, then check the list of apps on the right. The column labeled ”64-Bit (Intel)” shows ”No” for apps that are 32-bit.

Yes it does, but the original and subsequent posts indicate MWoods does not seem to have PS or Elements. He has no clue about NIK filters.

I figured them out thanks

Sorry. Certainly not meant to demean your ability. Glad to hear it will work for you.

I only use it to put borders on my photos; I haven’t found anything that works better. If I could, I would.

Do you know of a program that I can use to create borders?

John, FastStone Image Viewer has all kinds of frames. And borders that can be made the way you want them. Best of all, it's free.

Ok--this worked, and Picasa is 32 bit. So, no go.

It’s my understanding that FastStone is for Windows, not Mac.

Yeah, you're right. I don't know how I completely missed that John had a mac.
Sorry about that.

Why is it hard for people to move on beyond Picasa? I never used it, but what was the magic and special appeal?

It was intuitive and easy to use. It was more than enough for some hoggers. Not everyone does heavy processing.

The new Macs have only 64-bit architecture OS. Your 32-bit software will not run.

When aperture was no longer supported I thought it would be a disaster. Alas the new iPhoto is fantastic for all but the pro looking for advanced editing.

The new iPhoto is called just "Photo". They dropped the "i".
I use Picasa for making collages. It's super easy to do.

I thought the best Mac upgrade would've been Windows 10 Lite.
