Recently we were asked to photograph the San Juan Capistrano Mission for our final project before the semester ends. Aside from a few, most of the class posted rather boring photos. I tried to think with my creative hat on to do something different. We also were asked to post bokeh photos.
These all look best in download mode.

#1 4 &5 for me ❣️👍🤗

And your still taking classes! I guess the saying is true, “We never stop learning! “ I lam learning something all the time from the posts on this website.

Iwiley, I'm one of those that never stop learning and I hope we are all like that. If you want to see some amazing photos from a Russian woman who is a master of light, you should go online and see her photos.
Her name is Elena Shumilova. Every photographer could learn something from her. She is so inspireing!.

Brent , congrats on finishing the class .., when I used to live in Mission Viejo ., 1984-86., I used to go to the mission quite often ..~ there used to be a drive in theater close by .. your pic bring back memories for sure .. creative shots all of them ...

Well Dr.Nikon, I love helping fellow UHH members relive their memories! Good times! Drive in theaters were so much fun to be at. I remember my family all watching movies in our station wagon with pillows and blankets.......good times! lol

[quote=Timmers]I live on Mission Road just down the way (less than a mile) from Mission Concepcion in San Antonio Texas. Most Americans don't know that there re two mission systems in the US. it might be of interest should you visit from Cali to San Antonio.
In my garden I have a 'to scale' replica of the famous 'Rose Window', carved from sandstone located in another of the missions here called Mission San Jose. Though it would be fun to talk about San Antonio's mission system.

My friend and model Heather Jobe seated in my garden Rose Window.

Timmers, your 'Rose Window' is beautiful and so is Heather!

Brent, Did not realize you were taking a class. Your photos always impressed me as to thier quality. That being said, the set is unique and very sharp where it should be. You should get a great grade for the set.

I think Dr Seuss could spin-off your creative hat into a best seller.

Does your critic hat come on before or after your creative hat?

A beautiful set of photos of the Mission. Been to San Juan Capistrano Mission many times but never at Christmas time. Will definitely have to go there again but at this festive time of the year. Mahalo for sharing.

Great job Brent. I didn't realize that you were in a class. You certainly did depart from the norm here. I am captivated by the first shot. So subtle yet compelling. The second shot does show your artistic bent, but I would feel a little better if you righted those columns. Of the 2 Santas, I like the second one the best. Once again, the artist coming out.
