Deliveries have gone bonkers. They don't seem to have a way to consolidate so you could get one delivery in the morning, another in afternoon and even one more at night! B and H told me I should expect a back ordered battery today. UPS said it was due between 4 and 6, it is now 9:30 and no battery, although the filter and lens cap I ordered came with 2 packages from Costco and Amazon at 3 PM.

I ordered some things from B&H. It was three separate boxes, shipped FedEx, and was scheduled to arrive on the 11th. One box came, the others were rescheduled to the 12th. At the end of the day they rescheduled to the 13th. (Today.) we shall see.

I wonder if people in third world countries have these daunting hurdles to over come?

Amazon has hired a ton of temporary delivery "helpers" who may not be as savvy delivering packages. In our neighborhood it is a joke to see who gets what and when. However, a good way to meet the neighbors by taking their packages to them and receiving yours from them. LOL

I have way less issues with Amazon than I do with FedEx or the USPS. It doesn't take a genius to deliver a package...Good point about neighbors though...

I bought a lens recently from KEH. KEH has a fine business none of this reflects poorly on them. FedEx promised delivery on Sunday. No package arrived on Sunday. Sunday evening the package suddenly had no specified delivery date. Package was then assigned a delivery date of Tuesday. Late Tuesday the date was changed Wednesday. On Wednesday, I had business to attend to during the day and thus requested evening delivery for and Extra $5 as a signature was required. Wednesday afternoon the delivery was rescheduled for Thursday but indeed arrived on Wednesday. A FedEx driver delivered my package out of pity on his way home. He claimed they were swamped as chaos existed at the facility. He also claimed that some folks at the facility couldn't find my house. (I guess folks haven't learned to use a GPS or google maps). I live on a well traveled road in the middle of 60 acres of farm land. Just pull off the road and look for the house.

I used to get my UPS deliveries in the morning, noon at the latest. Now, they're arriving between 7:00 - 9:00 PM. With the busy season, they've changed their routes - and drivers. I used to give a Christmas trip to my regular driver, but now I have several different drivers each week. I bet that cuts into their tips significantly.

If Amazon says I'll get a package on Monday, that really mean Tuesday, for all practical purposes.

What time do you get deliveries? Has there been a change?

Mine are very regular and consistent. Only upon occasion has a UPS delivery been delayed. On those occasions, I have chatted with Amazon support and have received compensation (a credit, gift certificate, refund, ...).

Delivery times are over the place here, My last delivery 12.2.19, a replacement cell phone, Signature required. Sent thru USPS, delivered by UPS.
I live alone in a very rural area on a lightly used State Hwy., I stayed home all day, put a sign on my door, Knock hard I am home!!!
About 3:00 p.m. I happened to be in the kitchen preparing a meal, I heard a noise outside , looked out the window and saw a young man getting back into the UPS truck (no uniform), I went to the door and there sat my phone out in plain view, as they were starting to leave, I yelled and ask why there was no knock, the driver said Oh it's his first day and drove off. I didn't have shoes on or I would have gone out and talked to the driver.
First day BS, I have seen him before, at least twice delivering to other houses in the area, I am wondering about my signature,What would have happened if I had not seen the truck and my package disappeared?
I think about complaining to UPS, but doubt it would do any good.
It seems delivery services are not as good as they used to be,UPS, FEDX and USPS parcel used to knock on the door for every delivery, if no answer they would set the package on the porch and close the door as my sign requested, I no longer have an enclosed porch but there is an Old Wash tub sitting on the porch and I did have a sign asking to put deliveries in the tub, but has yet to happen. Oh well, only time will tell.

USPS approx. 10 AM, UPS and Fedex mid-afternoon, Amazon and Lazership 4-to-7 PM = normal Christmas season adds an hour or two. Only the Post Office is nearby, all the others start in other towns/counties.

Most all of my deliveries, no matter who the carrier, are after 3pm. The USPS used to come around 11-12 but the drivers changed...

They come different times here. It never seems to be the same time of day anymore. Last week I got a package on Tuesday that I was told it would be delivered Wednesday, so that was a pleasant surprise.

I ordered a couple pair of jeans from Kohl's. The initial tracking said they would be delivered Monday, December 16. Yesterday I got an email saying they would be delivered on Saturday the 14th. I checked the tracking number last night and it said the package was in Syracuse, NY at 12:18AM. This morning I checked the tracking number, and it said the package had arrived in Poughkeepsie NY at 6:38AM, and was on the truck and out for delivery at 9:38 AM. But it still says the scheduled delivery date is Saturday the 14th.

So I will wait and see when they are delivered.

UPDATE: My package was delivered about 15 minutes ago. I guess maybe they are giving longer initial delivery times due to the holidays in anticipation of a busy season. Always a pleasure to get something you are waiting for a few days earlier than expected.

UPS must be contracting out deliveries, as it was not delivered by the big brown truck. A white Ford van was in my driveway making the delivery.

I was supposed to get my new drone delivered by FedEx on Wednesday, but instead they delivered it 2 days early on Monday. Go figure.
