What Time UPS Deliveries?

I used to get my UPS deliveries in the morning, noon at the latest. Now, they're arriving between 7:00 - 9:00 PM. With the busy season, they've changed their routes - and drivers. I used to give a Christmas trip to my regular driver, but now I have several different drivers each week. I bet that cuts into their tips significantly.

If Amazon says I'll get a package on Monday, that really mean Tuesday, for all practical purposes.

What time do you get deliveries? Has there been a change?

I stopped having deliveries to my home since I can’t always be there and signatures are required for expensive items. I have them sent to my wife’s work address or the local UPS store in my town. I think commercial addresses get priority and are more consistently delivered.

Haven't used them lately but, When I track the shipment they usually will give a 4 hr time window when the package will arrive.

I have noticed that our regular delivery guy is seldom seen. We now have several that deliver and my guess they have expanded their routes to be more efficient. I do get it on the correct day but not at any specific time of day.

Since we are on a VERY rural route we receive mostly afternoon deliveries.
However, last year, closer to Christmas we had deliveries throughout the day up until 6pm-ish.
I signed up for a free account with UPS for "my preferences", delivery dates and delivery updates.
This service REALLY works well!
Last year we even had deliveries on Saturday.
Last year, all at the same time, we had a UPS delivery at the back door, a USPS delivery at the front door and a FedEx delivery truck in the driveway waiting for his turn in the queue.

Mine, from Amazon are usually Canada Post. A package I’m waiting for was in Ottawa for three days (about 1 hr. from my house). Just got an update that it will be here before the 18th. Deliveries are now up to 8pm whereas they were once around noon.

Delivery times are over the place here, My last delivery 12.2.19, a replacement cell phone, Signature required. Sent thru USPS, delivered by UPS.
I live alone in a very rural area on a lightly used State Hwy., I stayed home all day, put a sign on my door, Knock hard I am home!!!
About 3:00 p.m. I happened to be in the kitchen preparing a meal, I heard a noise outside , looked out the window and saw a young man getting back into the UPS truck (no uniform), I went to the door and there sat my phone out in plain view, as they were starting to leave, I yelled and ask why there was no knock, the driver said Oh it's his first day and drove off. I didn't have shoes on or I would have gone out and talked to the driver.
First day BS, I have seen him before, at least twice delivering to other houses in the area, I am wondering about my signature,What would have happened if I had not seen the truck and my package disappeared?
I think about complaining to UPS, but doubt it would do any good.
It seems delivery services are not as good as they used to be,UPS, FEDX and USPS parcel used to knock on the door for every delivery, if no answer they would set the package on the porch and close the door as my sign requested, I no longer have an enclosed porch but there is an Old Wash tub sitting on the porch and I did have a sign asking to put deliveries in the tub, but has yet to happen. Oh well, only time will tell.

We are Suburban so have a UPS driver in a golf cart with a little trailer. The items usually show as arriving in the depot in Jacksonville at night and then go into the big tractor trailer to arrive in our gated community the next morning. They get delivered sometime that day, early to late, cart only holds so much..

I'm with Tomfl101. Haven't ordered anything since we moved to Phoenix but in Ohio it meant that my package was normally at the store by the time I went to work at noon.

I relate to the policy of tipping the drivers - we used to tip regularly several time a year and certainly at Christmas time, but now with a different driver each week, we no longer g tip at all.

I had ordered something from B&H on the 2nd. It was back ordered and was due to be restocked on the 4th. A label was created on the 6th. It was not tendered to FedEx until the 8th and is supposed to be delivered today. Oh, this was supposed to be a two day delivery. None of the carriers are up to snuff anymore.

Just this week UPS " CLAIMED" they delivered a package to my front door . My office is within 20 feet of the door. No ring of the door bell and no package. Contacted UPS and the driver claims he delivered it . Adorama being the great company they are is replacing the item at no charge . Has anybody else had an experience like this?

Jerry, we get deliveries throughout the day, as my wife says her "job" is to keep the couriers in business. So she orders A LOT of stuff. Sometimes we get multiple deliveries from the same courier company at different times during the day.

Yes. I had a UPS delivery some time ago that was 2 separate boxes with two lenses from B&H. One box made it but the second one with a 24-70 lens went missing. Driver said it was delivered but no one was home. I was there and the bell never rang. A signature was required but he didn’t hang around for one. But you could see on the doorbell video that he just threw a package at the door sometime after 9pm. It took two trips to the UPS warehouse and several calls to customer service at B&H, but the charge was dropped for the lens and they started an investigation at UPS trying to trace the package. Never heard the outcome of that.
