Bite the bullet and make the switch to Gmail. It has become the dominant service around the world and will be more familiar to recipients of your large files. Google drive will work seamlessly if you files are larger than 25megs. If you send large folders full of images on a regular basis nothing beats Dropbox, another super easy platform.

If the recipient doesn't need the large file, try Faststone Photo Resizer.

I don't get Bebu's thumbs-down either. The OP is going to need to learn a new procedure, whether it's dropbox or other. Why not ask the perfectly logical question as to necessity for large files? It's possible the OP doesn't know that re-sizing is an option, or how easy it is to do. The photo only needs to be smaller than 20 mb to continue working in AOL, his preferred email provider.

Thanks for the reply. Wish there was a way that I could have AOL increase the size; if they are the culprit.

You have any idea what that would do the internet traffic? Even if you could bribe AOL to allow that size the recipient unless equally forgiven, would bounce it. Use google pic or drop box and you simply send a link.

Yup Dropbox, free subscription, upload a shared folder and send out an invite, recipient needs to have Dropbox also.

Actually, recipients do NOT need to have a Dropbox account or the app installed. You can generate a link to the file that can be used by anyone. Clicking the link will allow the receiver to see the photo and, depending on what permissions you give them, download it.

For an example of this, with multiple photos in the folder, see the dropbox link for voting in For Your Consideration's weekly challenge:

The recipient does not need Dropbox if you send them a link to the Dropbox folder that the particular picture is in .

I agree, www.wetransfer.com is very easy to use. I just retired from a national company and could get everyone to use it. We transferred large graphics, presentations etc. The main thing I found that people need to remember is the site name www.wetransfer.com because everyone would stick their head in my office and say ‘what’s the name of that file transfer site again?’.

I wouldn’t send sensitive information, just pictures, presentations, graphics etc.

The OP did not say he was sending a 20 MByte image attachment. It could easily have been something else, like a document. Or if it were an image it could have been a raw file which could have been already compressed.

I go with Dropbox. It's flexible, handles any type of file, and provides a bit of storage for useful things you might want to access from your phone. These days 2 GBytes isn't a lot, but with a little management it works for me. I just go in and clean out old stuff I shared a while back but I don't expect will be needed in the near future.

The topic title says "Pictures"

Are we so used to meaningless discussion forum titles ("I Need Help!") that we forget to read them?

Transfer Big Files has a free version and another you can pay a monthly nominal fee and send lots of pics to multiple recipients if desired. Even send RAW unprocessed photos. I highly recommend it.
