Angry White Men

Well I have been following this thread and I thing I have a solution. Why don't we let the left wingers live in one part of the country and the right wingers in another part and lets just split this country up into two. Then we see who survives. Can't y'all see the two political parties are tearing a great nation apart, both parties are lying to us so they can line their own pockets. I hope we find our way back before it is too late. And yes I am a angry white guy that is concerned about my grandkids future and their children. The media is asmuch to blame as the politicians. We need to stop fighting each other and unite. A house as well as a nation devided will fall. Signed a old white guy

These non-conformists were against every establishment of the old world including religious and political oppression.

Thank you. But truly, it's hard for most people because the only history they know is what they read in their school history books, and too many of them never even read them. They also don't understand the history they learned is brief and told in such a way as to make the people involved seem like super humans. Jefferson was a materialist,believing that all existence is merely energy and matter, as he directly stated in a letter he wrote to a friend, and he put together his own version of the NT. He dismissed everything that didn't pertain to Jesus himself. He did not think Jesus was devine. Washington was a deist, meaning he believed in a God based on reason rather than faith(supernatural revelation). And when one tries to tell them that their heroes were nothing like they think they were, they refuse to believe any of it. And that's the reason for the old saying, "Those that do not know their past are doomed to repeat it." And many times, even if they do know it, they repeat it. Maybe it should be changed to "don't believe their past".

I hope we make the split on the Mississippi and the conservatives get the west coast so we don't have to be down wind.
This Idea is a great starting point.

I guess when people read and become educated they can be viewed as proud of their accomplishments and full of themselves. Those that feel the need top point out this pride are often at the other end of spectrum...under educated and envious of the success of others.

Archie Bunker was not a racist, he treated everyone the same! Our country is a color palet and is painting a picture of our future. When I was in highschool there was some racial tension but I was fortunate to not be affected. My circle of close friends consisted of me a white guy, an eskimo, an italian, and a black man. We did everything together and had each others back. I believe the humans I know or will know have an opportunity to know me and I have the same opportunity to get to know them. Will Rogers once said "I never met a man I didn't like." Well there are some that I find it difficult to, but It isn't because of their skintone or religious or political beliefs! We all suffer from ignorance. Ignorance can be cured by knowledge. We can also suffer from prejudgement, believing we know all the facts when we really don't. This can also be cured with more knowledge. And the willingness to listen to all sides.

Well Well I just looked up Bigot in the Dictoinary and there was Rix pix photo. Who would have guessed? This guy hates almost everyone. Maby even himself. You better think like him or your on his long list. Feel sorry for someone that is so bitter. Must lead a sad life.

Correct...Archie wasn't a racist...he was a bigot. I think you should read the US CONSTITUTION and the present interpritation of that document by the US SUPREME COURT before you condem others for their personal beliefs or gender preference. This country was founded on the concept that we all have the right to free speach and own our own opinions without being subjected to condemnation from biggits and homophobes. I served my time in the US military to preserve that right.
Your association of MARXISM and OBAMACARE, is obsurd. We have lost more civil rights under the Bush administration than we have under any other administration in history. Under the PATRIOT ACT, we no longer have the luxury of privacy. The cry of "My country, right or wrong" has gotten us into 3 wars and thousands of deaths and a huge deficit expense. We got involved in the VIETNAM and IRAQ WARS by that exact premise and look where that got us.
