Employees of a major coal industry donor to Republican causes have raised complaints about their participation in an event earlier this month organized for GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney in the crucial swing state of Ohio.

Several miners at Murray Energy’s Century coal mine in Beallsville, Ohio, contacted a nearby morning talk radio host, David Blomquist, over the last two weeks to say that they were forced to attend an Aug. 14 rally for Romney at the mine. Murray closed the mine the day of the rally, saying it was necessary for security and safety, then docked miners the day's pay. Asked by WWVA radio’s Blomquist about the allegations on Monday’s show, Murray chief operating officer Robert Moore said: “Attendance was mandatory but no one was forced to attend the event.”

John Adams, Patrick Henry, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were radical, anti-government intellectuals...the hippies of their day that developed the most radical form of self-rule the world had seen to date. These non-conformists were against every establishment of the old world including religious and political oppression.

If you want to see angry and just not white men come and visit the southern coal fields of Wv where I grew up and still live. It is A very depressed area but we do have our free cell phones but no jobs. I really do invite any one to come and visit it will change your perspective of this economy. I think both political parties are tearing this country apart. We need solutions not politics.

Did you ever read a history book and understand the reasons we no longer celebrate the Kings birthday? They were men who were not content to allow a monarch to take everything they had through taxation or tell them how to run their daily lives. Not a one of them would have anything to do with the liberal cradle to grave government, people like you advocate today.

The “angry old white men” of this country fought wars to end repression and over reaching governments including our own. It wasn’t black men that started the war to end slavery – it was “angry old white men”. It was “angry old white men” that stopped the Nazi takeover of Europe. It was “angry old white men” that helped people like George Washington Carver escape the tyranny of slavery and become one of the greatest inventors in our history. What makes them angry is realizing that all of their efforts and sacrifice have brought us the current crop of socialist leaning youth intent on throwing away the unlimited opportunity that this country represents. It has brought us to a government that feels it has the right to tell us how much sugar we can consume or how we should exercise and when. Of course all "angry old white men" are conservatives. Have you ever listened to Reid or Pelosi speak?

If you read the entire article about the miners you will find the quote from the mine owner saying that he did not pay the men because of a federal law that forbids paying workers to attend a political event: A law that the Democrats and Unions have no problem violating. The statement - “Attendance was mandatory but no one was forced to attend the event.”, is common in business, although not usually stated in exactly that way. It simply means that we want you to attend but if you don’t there will be no punishment. Not all of the miners attended and there are no reports that anyone was punished for not attending.

You sir, are the bigot in the room. How dare you assume what every old white man thinks or wants. If there was an ex-lax for the brain I would happily buy you some.

I merely quoted Republican Senator Lindsey Graham's statement regarding Mitt Romney's chances of becoming president. Graham said and I quote:

Now the "angry white men" that fought in WW2 were neither angry or old. Now maybe if we did send our OLD men to fight the wars started by other OLD white men instead of our youth - maybe just maybe that youth would not be so cynical.

If you bothered to pay attention to youth in general you would know that every generation of young people coming up revolts and rebels against the status quo and whom do you suppose represents that status quo?

As for Pelosi and Reid - sure they are white and rich and maybe angry but they were not part of the demographics Lindsey Graham was referring to - now are they?

"Attendance is mandatory but no one will be forced" That's not common parlance in any company I've worked for - if my boss says its mandatory to attend but if you don't we won't care" you think I or the average person is gonna take that to mean something other than Show up or else?

And you wonder why the youth are cynical/...............
