I shoot Canon JPEG at it's best resolution. How many pix can I get per GB? Don't tell me raw. Don't tell me it depends. Give me a number.

If you put the card in the camera, and set it to the best resolution JPEG the total number will be displayed (if you have an lcd panel). Divide that number by 1024, that's your number.

Which camera? Your manual will give you a number estimate. Mine will store 3320 of the 26megapixel files according to the manual, on a 32gb card. Yours wil be different but you can look it up under performance.

If that was supposed to be informative, it missed the mark. If it was supposed to be sarcastic, it missed the mark. If it was supposed to be mysterious, it succeeded.

Why don't you look it up, it's really not that difficult!

Since it varies per card size, camera, and what image type(s) I'm storing (sizes), I just look at the camera display to see the remaining capacity indicated by the camera. An empty card will show how many shots I can store on that card.

Do you know how to check the average size on disk of your files????

If so, just use math for any card size: card size/file size.

By the way, this has nothing to do with 'raw' or 'JPG', it has to do with the file size.

Your question is really weird in my opinion. It is similar to how many glasses will fit in a cupboard? Answer: Depend of the cupboard size and the size of your glasses.

Why not consult your manual where technical specifications of your EOS camera are clearly detailed, such as page 153 from the EOS 77D document?

{Would be too simple.}
