Thanks Longshadow.....for a while there I thought I was all alone on this one........like The Emperor Has No Clothes On ! and I was the only one who happened to notice it.

Apparently some of this stuff is not as intuitive as they would have us believe and our spoon-fed society is proof of it.
Thanks Longshadow.....for a while there I thought ... (show quote)

It is because of cheap shots like this that I post rarely here, tho I read (!) the UHH every day.

That was not a cheap shot. But simple fact. No one has said anything to you but truth, you should always try to find the answer yourself before seeking it here. Although some of us did give you the answer. And that answer was very easy to find in the manual. it was not admonishment as well as it was teaching and if you read this everyday you would know that.

"frankraney" is correct. WE have tech manuals in print with the camera also on line. We tech svs. from the Camera and card suppliers. Why not get professional help from the people that made the product instead of going to this (Good) group with a (in my option) a vague question (we don't know much about what he really wants. The tech will ask questions and direct him for HIS needs.
Lets if we can make it to an even dozen pages.

I guess it depends on the wording used in the post?

I speak directly, and sometimes bluntly, and without euphenisms. I am explicit, not implicit. My directness is taken as rudeness by some with more sensitive natures. That's me, take it or leave it.

Wish you had stated that in your original post. Could have avoided at least some of the pointless replies. You specified 'per GB' not how many per particular card size. If that is the number you need then, as others have stated, look in your manual for the number per card, divide that number by the GB of the card and you have your approximate per GB number.

.... and some of the pointless replies could have been avoided by those making them not making them.

If you think this whole thing was pointless, why didn't you just ignore it altogether?

I think you mean MULTIPLY, not divide.

y * 1040, but

z * 1/1040 = z/1040

Looking at the manual, are you kidding. After all it would require that you have to actually READ the damn thing. It is beyond comprehension why anybody would invest in anything and not read the instruction. But it is a lot easier to ask stupid questions on the hog. Just my two cents

And your opinion is worth less than that to me.
